Please explain more on the hole in the stock to make them budout more and the THC content. How should the hole be cut? how deep and how big around? And what time of the year or span should you split the stock?
The idea is to stress the plant right before harvest so that it produces more THC in the trichromes…more ‘sugar’ that gets you higher.
You should do this 7-10 days before you cut her down. Good luck 
You are asking about splitting. One week before harvesting, tie off or tape off a section at the base of the plant. Then in between the two tie offs, take knife and push all the way tru the stalk…insert something to keep the split open. Some use shims others use popsicle sticks or chopsticks.
Other method is drilling a hole in that same manner.
The plant will rush more goodies to the buds.
