Plants are slow growing

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

Planted 3. In soil. 1 doing fine decent
Height sturdy. Super healthy The other 2 are slow growing
Appear to be grunts. Very mini in size. Why ??

Most likely they’re developing roots. When they’re young they focus their energy on making a “good base” to support the plant both in weight and for uptake (oxygen, water, nutes).

I have a runt that broke ground March 23rd. Last week it measured 34 inches.
