Physics and Astronomy

@Freebirdmikes

I have a degree in physics and love this stuff. I study the differences between Newton and Einstein’s laws with the laws of quantum physics. It’s a spectacular, confusing world.

Fun fact:

How do we know the chemical composition of the surface of Mars?

Atoms and molecules all have a unique fingerprint. The fingerprint is revealed in the light spectrum that it reflects.

You can therefore project light at the surface of the planet and read the spectrum of light reflected to determine the atoms/molecules present.

Something that amazes me is when get to see the starlink satellites pass through the night sky. I’ve been unable to catch it with the telescope thus far.
