OK, it is only an indicator. But unlike pH you don’t necessarily need to change it, it is more to measure if your nutrient is building up too high in your soil. If it is getting too high, then you water only until it goes down to the level you want. It is just another tool to keep tabs on things. As with pH if nothing is wrong, then you don’t need to adjust anything.
