Maybe this will save some folks grief. I had a couple bad crops,and hopefully am learning from my mistakes. I was using Jellas pH test strips ( my well water tested 7.2 pH. I just got a Apera tester and after calibration the same water tested 8.3 pH.
The take away being, use accurate/quality testing equipment. Your going to invest alot of time and effort on your grow.

I have never had any troubles with my PH test strips… but I’m growing in earth…
I think for the price they are unbeatable. lots of lab use them, I’d trust them to be accurate. the only downtime is if you have a visual impairment, matching the colors might be a problem…
