Hey my name Karen and I’m a new grower. I’m growing 4 Blueberry auto flowers two are looking real good the other two have a little brown tip and curl a little. I did just transplant them about a week ago in FF soil , I started them in Happy Frog. Anyway I checked the ph level and it’s btw 3.97-4.00. What should I do? Or is it normal for them being this young?
That ph is way to low you want it i between 6 and 7 as long as your ph meter is calibrated and all that jazz you will need to do a ph reset
From what I’ve noticed with my ph issues early with FFOF, not happy frog and a bit stronger than it in the nute category, is go in with about 6.8 ph water and it’s good…Lower than that though and the run off is pretty low.
Should I give it nutrition at this time? They seem to young. What should I do? How do I reset ph level?
If you just transplanted into FF they should have plenty of nutrients for now. Just regular water when they are good and dry for a couple weeks. Make sure the ph is 6.8ish going in and you should be good for now. No expert but that’s what I’ve been told and seen in my limited experience.
In addition to what Hammr time stated after a while you’re going to want to hover into the pH 6.5 area. That’s The sweet spot I believe. General rule of thumb for soil is pH 6.3 to 6.8 I believe. As a side note I’ve done soil slurry test with ocean Forest before and it’s usually around 6.4 with my experience. I’m sure each batch is a little different though but shouldn’t be too far out of whack. Happy growing
