When growing OUTDOORS in pots or even in the ground, is it common to check the PH and TDS of the soil? I can see checking the PH of the water if you are adding water yourself, not sure what the PH of rain water will be.

I was wondering the same thing about half hour ago so I put out a jar to catch the rain I’m getting now and will post results when I have enough
Rain water PH is probably different by region but I’m not sure
I do know my grass looks way better after rain then when I water and my water ph is about 8
