When they are white they are full of thc, when they turn brown the thc is degraded and it turns to cbn which is a more narcotic high. I would not let it go past 10% amber around the calyx, the really little leaves around the hairs. I like to get close to 100% milk on top buds and maybe 70/30 milk to clear on the middle buds.

Where would you say I am now? Is it time to go to water? I don’t want the cbn.
That second picture looks like your close, maybe a couple more weeks. When most of the brown hairs start to curl back into the calyx it should be about time. Do you see any amber on the trichs around the brown hairs

You should try to only fill to 1" below the pot. Lets see what happens after she eats tonight. might need to lower her ppm to about 900 if it doesnt start dropping, to get her eating and drinking in line.
