Hey all, I’m growing two plants outdoors in a greenhouse (I usually open the door because it’s so hot in the day) and it seems like a few buggies decided to join my amazing retreat. I’ve seen a few white flies, aphids, and a small spider. What would you guys recommend to relieve my plant of these bugs? I did spray with Jacks Deadbug concentrate 2 days ago, I did hear it takes around 5 days to work, and then I can spray again if needed. Any other recommendations?
You can apply every other day if you’d like. Just be sure to wash your harvest. It is a safe product to use during flowering, but it’s good practice to wash after applying.
I doubled my concentration when I mixed it myself, in comparison to the ready to use product.
I use Growers Ally Crop Defender 3 for my recent grow. It’s an insecticide, miticide and fungicide all in one. Used at 2 different ratios at either 10ml or 40ml per gallon. I spray weekly in the evening and till the plant is dripping wet.
I used trifecta crop control because its natural. Diesnt say you have to wash if you used that
I use eco neem and killamite. And sticky traps everywhere; it’s ridiculous how fast they multiply. In my outdoor garden I string up regular packing tape everywhere too.
With aphids you need to spray under the leaves too. I spray, then wash off the dead ones immediately and spray again.
With gnats and whitefly you can use a bunch of non chemical methods as well as the big guns. Wake them up by disturbing the side and top of the soil and banging on the side of your pots, then when they panic you blast them with a hair dryer and get rid of as many as possible that way. Use the hair dryer around the tent and surroundings so they can’t ever settle.
Eco Neem can also be used as a soil soak for gnats.
I’m planning on washing anything I grow outside, thanks! I’ll give this a go if it doesn’t help I’ll take everyone else’s recommendations. I appreciate it.
So many good suggestions for bug killing stuff.
I’ll only add with aphids I do a heavy defoliation, i mean super heavy. Less leafs give less places for them to hide and for me to spray. It will also help increase airflow makeing it a hostile environment for anything that flys.
If its hard or impossible to fly and jump around without being blew around they will move right along somewhere else.
Don’t make you plants whip around but the more moveing air the better off you are
Thanks! Maybe I’ll defol soon
Growers ally and jacks dead bug spray are my go tos. Be sure to do a bud wash after harvest if you spray them. Its actually a good idea to do a bud wash anyway even if you dont spray
Yeah I’m planning on bud washing all of my outdoor grows.
Have you considered ladybugs. We use them and no more bugs and thayre cool to look at as they patrol the grow.
I use PureCrop1 now….it works for bugs, WPM, and other stuff… all natural.
