Check out grove bag thread
Amen brother. They wanted to compete with my hlg lights and ended up loosing to the diablo 200 when it came out the specs so much better and the results 2
@Graysin …popped her head up on june 10 so right at 60ish days what cha think another 30 days or so?
30 sounds reasonable. Based on how fast she’s stacking, bet you could start checking trichomes in about 3 weeks, but they may not be to optimal doneness for 5.
she looks happy…so it seems too easy…growing in a mix of p4p super soil and coco/perlite…giving only tap water with a 321 mix of jacks…no PHing …no testing run off…just that easy…I do have testing equip if things go wrong but I like doing it the lazy way
anyone out there…
My brethren. I always describe my grow style as “lazy” - no exception. I have a BlueLabs pH pen and ppm meter, and I’ve used the ppm pen exactly once in the last 3 months. The pH meter has cobwebs on it, literally.
Jacks really does eliminate all the guessing out of a grow. 100% from start to finish with extra CalMag because I’m in pure coco, and don’t always water daily like I should (again, lazy).
@new2-420 welcome aboard…this is my 2nd time around 1st one made the pot4pot plant of the month but got way too much humidity at the end so I ended it a little early…got 1/2 lb off her not counting what I had to throw away…and it is pretty stoney…if you are new to all this all I can say is look into the jacks 321 nutes makes things so simple
@Newt thanks for poking your head in from time to time…gawd I love this forum…and @Graysin thanks for all your input…its good to have good people to consult with
My pleasure Always lurking, sometimes just short on reply times.
@theGiz
I wish I’d of found this place BEFORE I got into growing. I am all in on FF nutes at this point. They’re fine, they work and I do the entire regiment. Therein is the down part…the entire regiment (I am a quiet stalker/learner from @Newt since he uses same products). When in flower, where my 5 Bruce Banners are currently, it’s a pain to add all those ingredients. So when I’m finished with the supplies I have then the next thing I would like to try is Jacks, also considering Earth Dust like @MeEasy is using…but have to run through the large supply I have! Thanks Giz, great growing and I’m here learning in the background!
Completely understand that FF is a lot of stuff. But I find the mixing, measuring, adjusting, and feeding all to be therapeutic on some level.
@Newt
Morning sir! Agreed with that
Except…when in a hurry, then it is just a crappy chore lmao…only momentarily however!
Indeed… I have to confess, that I have skipped a feeding when hurried.
I use 70/30 coco/perlite on my first grow I am mid flowering, but I rarely water daily; best case is every other day, but most weeks it’s two day to dry the soil out.
I keep hearing how I should be watering daily, and at the same time master the wet-dry cycle.
I was not watering until run off; huge mistake, but I took a week of just 100ppm water and now my run off in week seven is slightly above the input water (dropped it from 1900ppm to 900). The PH has stayed between 5.8-6.2 for the grow
Mastering the wet/dry cycle matters much more than watering daily. The thing about coco is that it can be watered daily with minimal risk to the root zone. It can become hydrophobic if not watered frequently enough.
I notice my ladies perform much better if they get watered once a day, or at least once every other day. They don’t require the same true wet/dry that soil does because it really doesn’t keep much residual moisture around the root zone.
That said. I still water every other day. Today I’m going on 3 days without and they’re in solo cups. I’ll probably regret not getting to them for water this morning.
I agree on the earth dust…Ive been on their website a few times…I was thinking of just getting the flower dust as I really like the p4p super soil that gets me way into flower…I bought a 6lb kit of Jacks off ebay for like 30 bucks…looks like I still have 99% of it left after my 2nd plant…I am a one at a time guy…even though no one
thinks I will stay that way
