Patiently waiting all summer

Yes but they are only the “first wave”, there will be several. As the bud develops, those early pistils will get “swallowed up” and new ones will form. More calyx’s will form and stack on top of one another. The entire process takes about 2 months or longer after flower starts.

Hi @BobbyDigital I’m even further south in AZ and have some Jack Hs that started flowering back in the first part of June. Seemed strange at the time, Then I thought about it some more. I started them under lights in the garage way back in Jan, so Maybe some photos trigger on the length of time they’ve been around. I don’t know, I’m still trying to figure things out

@rlh. I think you might have got photos. I’ve never done autos so I cant say for sure. Pics look like you probably have couple months left to let em finish on their terms.

@VF Looking good!! :facepunch:
I remember being a kid and going to bike stores to look at Diamondbacks, Kuwahara,PK Ripper,Redline,Mongoose,GT…and all the nice dirt bikes. Just visit the store and stare.

I remember my first motorcycle-1996 Honda F3 . I was just at the store staring at it before I bought it.

I got older,started stalking Corvette dealerships…Just sit there and stare…luckily I got a blue 6 speed convertible, 2000,chrome rims.

And now when I see nice grows,I just sit and stare…

I’m the same way my friend. Thats excellent about the Vette. Couple years ago I bought 04 T-Bird, with 21K miles. We love taking the top off and cruising through the mountains

Your grow, it looks splendid. Just bet you could sit out there for hours in meditative bliss. Sometime I end up sitting in my garden so long, just taking it in that all the garden chores get put off/ My wife grew up in Santa Clara and has all kind of crazy Northern California stories from back in her day.

@VF oh yeah, I took the Vette to South Lake Tahoe in the summer. I get it. :+1: “Sometimes I go topless,” always makes me chuckle.

Thank you, very much. I am guilty, I take time to go out to the garden and just gaze in a daze… But I love this hobby. Even the fact that I am smoking last years harvest of ILGM Super Lemon Haze and Chocolope mixed together in a joint as I write this.

But I am taking mental notes as well as on my phone. Which strains did what, also placement strategy -since I made the garden easier to move around the pots if need be. It took a second to accurately plot the path of the sun in accordance with the ladies . I may even do less next year. @krismwright has been doing some crazy outdoor scrog pvc magic that has my brain going :facepunch:

Keep on truckin!

Ok my ILGM friends,
The buds continue to develop well and can really smell them now. Guessing another couple weeks at least? Still planning on quick dry sample before harvest. Please have a look at 'em -

Gracias, amigos!

Thanks @Slug_Life :sunglasses:. The pics are the best I can do at this point. I suppose there’s still time a USB microscope camera. Will start getting my dry room setup. Have an unused & cool laundry closet (Tracked Temp/RH last 24 Hr: RH 55-62; Temp 67-78). Plan is to get AC Infinity line fan (thinking CLOUDLINE LITE A4 with carbon filter) to vent to outside. Dehumidifier would be good too.

Update on my first grow…

Just got microscope and clicked trichome pics. Mostly cloudy white with the scope light. I’m thinking they are close to ready for a quick dry sample.

Actually, hoping they will be ready for harvest in 2 weeks, as I’m waiting to receive AC Infinity Cloudline T4 and carbon filter for my drying process.

At this stage, I’m wondering how frequently to check the trichome colors. I’m thinking couple times a week may be about right.

This thread has been quiet. I’m nearing harvest. What are you folks up to?

Clicked some pics today. Ladies have put on a lot of weight…4 plants had fallen during gusty winds so I put in some stake get them back upright. The buds all so fattened up the branches are bent over. The trichomes seem to have more amber since the last post, so looking ready to me, but good to have a 2nd opinion given my first grow. @Slug_Life @BobbyDigital @HMGRWN - what do you think ?

There’s rain for the next 2 days so I thought of harvesting some today…My inline fan and carbon filter is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. There’s way too much bud for what I need, so probably won’t even harvest it all.

My bad. You asked our opinion-oops. Nice! The glands look ready to me. I chopped most of mine at the cloudy and just a little amber stage.I chop in the morning,in the dark. The upcoming rain had me a little worried…

cue in old harmonica delta blues sound
“Oh she got me in trim jail,my back hurts and my clippers fail…i got on latex gloves ,but I don’t get no love, until the curing’s -a-done,waaa waaa waaaa wa wa…”

I am trying half gallon mason jars and also grove bags for a side by side comparison. 1/4 LB bags and half gallon jars.
MTF,Coco Pebbles, Blue Dream, Pineapple chunk, and Chocolope so far. Mango, Tangerine, Tiramasu, and Durban Poison are hanging in the gallows awaiting their turn…

Hope everyone is doing well :+1:

Snipped a few colas and they are drying temporarily in the shed. This might be about 10% of one plant and a lifetime supply for me. Still, I may harvest some more after the rain.

Yeah, you have quite a task ahead for sure. :star_struck: :exploding_head:

Nice work! I’m chopping when I see that.
