Oxygene for a room without windows

I have just about everything I need for my first grow, except the all important oxygen. I’m in the basement bathroom corner and the only thing close to having access to fresh air is the exhaust fan for the jacuzzi. Is there something I could buy, not too expensive, and help me grow some awesome plants? I need oxygen for my dirt. All help welcome.

Few rooms in a house are totally air tight. If it was people would be passing out in bathrooms all the time.
Is there a hvac vent to it? If you exhaust the room fresh air will filter in naturally.

I’m not sure what a hvac vent is other than a return vent. No, I don’t see one. It has a exhaust fan vent in ceiling that goes outside through my brick. I thought I could run that with the basement garage door open, but that could only be for a few minutes. I would be happy if I didn’t need anything extra but I keep seeing that fresh-air is important. I saw at Amazon they offered something in a bag that you put near your plants. I am going to be using the cloth pots, so shouldn’t that help the plants get the air that is needed? I didn’t know I was going to have to be a chemist and biologist to grow these plants. lol Thank you for your help, I need all I can get. I have other questions, do I have to start a new topic everytime or how do you do that otherwise?

Just hang on. It takes a bit but others will chime in.
The bags are for extra Carbon Dioxide which can help when flowering but it needs to be used with a rise in temperature and light. Without more info based on just what you have said so far I would say you need to first figure out your exhaust system. Perhaps your ceiling fan can be refitted to a 4 to 6 inch fan system. Typical bathroom fans dont really move a lot of air. Once you address that getting air into the room might be as simple as putting a vent in the wall to the basement area.

would putting a louvered vent in the door work? That would be so simple.

First off my growing space is 5x8 with the height being adjustable, meaning I am growing over my tub. That will allow me to take the top off tub and grow in tub bottom. I don’t think I will let my plants get that tall if I can. Any way I bought 2 Yehsence 1500 watt LED light with bloom and veggie switch (15W LED) Triple chips. I lined my walls with a bright white and shinny custom made tarp. I bought a light at local store to see how it works. It is a Feit electric 4ft. led tube like the T5’s. It states it is 30 watt: Luminous Flux 3000lm: Kelvin 4000K-B. My question is shouldI buy more of the Feit fixtures. I had thought about putting them on the 3 closed walls. Do you think I am going to have enough light? Those walls make the lights jump right out at you. Definitely need the special glasses. I still haven’t figured how to send pictures. I took the ones I have already made and transferred them from my phone to the computer and now I am stuck. I know I am and will be a lot of trouble. I am 76 and my learning abilities have taken a hit. Please help me.

First off @roseofsharon to add photos, at the bottom right corner of the “reply” box is a little square that looks like mountains and the sun. Click that and look for your gallery, you can upload like that.

Now for your lights. Those lights pull 265w from the wall. That’s the measurement you want to use for these Amazon lights. Personally, I grew 2 nice plants with similar draw lights. If you’re trying to fill your 5x8 space with plants, you’ll need more light. I don’t have any experience with the led tubes but I’m sure they would help although the increased yield may not offset the cost of running them. I’m not an expert by any means, just my 2 cents.

@roseofsharon,
interesting name, i knew a couple with a farm of a similar name, Rose of Sharon Acres,
that couple would be about your age, a few years older then my parents,
did u ever raise long horns.?
if we know each other i could assist in person.!!

yes, not good lighting, but it will be a good start.!
u have over 500 watts of lights, i only use 240 watts of QB LED for flower,
use what u have for now and learn how to grow inside, then invest in better lighting.!

I would still like to know about the one 4ft led light I bought that looks like the T5 bulbs? Do they put out the same light?

Raised Black Angus for a few years, never made any money off them, but they sure were good to eat. That was by roseofsharon on greenacres123 farm. Greenacres is actually on deed. lol Misleading, in Southern Missouri all rocks and Oak trees. Are you in Missouri?

I’m in sw missouri

unfortunately i m not,
would have been awesome to know a fellow ILGM member.!

if i was gonna add to the 2x Blurple LED’s, i’d try to get a 2700k LED strip light to add more red to the room in flower.!
some old fart put it best…
