Outdoor light periods

Hi:
I grow autos outdoors in movable pots. I am reading about a “dark period” before harvest. At about 7:00 pm I place the plants in my garage which is very dark at night. I might get some light leak until it gets very dark around 9:00 pm. By 6:00 am. it starts getting light and I place the outside until the next day. How important is the light cycle for autos? And, How can I get more dark time or do I even need it? The plants look good at 10 weeks old.

Auto flowering plants do not require a certain amount of light and darkness like a photo does. Your question about “dark period” before harvest is what some do when its ready. By putting the plant in a dark room or what not for 24 - 48 hours. Trying to stress out the girl and get some heavy resin.

Your good with autos and the darkness before harvest is optional I don’t I split the stems
