My first outdoor grow in central VA, she s a sour diesel from RQS.
3 month of veg (around 6ft tall) she started flowering 2 weeks ago.
She s in ground with some BAS3.0 recipe.
The pray mentis has been on it for at least 2 month now. I ordered some lady bugs and will be releasing them very soon.
So far it has been a lot easier to manage than my first indoor grow/nightmare
Say hi any feedback, advice is apreciated, the pic was taken last week curently on vacation and will get back tomorow can t wait to see her lol!
Well she looks great! Whatever your doing don’t change. You got it. I bought a few seeds from RQS and look forward to planting them next yr when I move to Va. Good luck…
Outdoor grows are always exciting. As stated everything looks great. In my 40 plus years of outdoor grows the biggest hurdle is the finish line.MotherNature can throw some crazy wet weather at the worst possible time creating mold and bud rot.IMO I would make preparations to keep the rain and moisture off as best you can. From my stomping grounds in NYS to SC. The game is still the same.Mother Nature always shows up at the worst possible time. One can lose everything if due diligence fails.
Hopefully we all have a dry fall because it really matters.
Well hello @Tachee! It’s great to run into another Central Va. grower (especially outdoor ). Your girl looks amazing!
Seems like we’re on the same time schedule too, go figure huh. Well welcome to the group, I’m new here myself. I’m down in Dinwiddie/Sutherland. Keep me posted on that sexy lady you have growing.
Weekly update.
Just came back from 1 week of vacation, everything still looks amazing this morning here are a few pics.
May spray some dr zyme tonight has a preventive since the last time i sprayed was a week ago.
Looking great! Be sure to check that spray to be sure it can be used during flowering. I had been using neem oil as a foliar spray and found out just in the nick of time before flowering that it ruins the taste. Not familiar with yours, but I have heard good things about PureCrop1 and Captain Jack’s dead bug. Your girl looks happy to me! Stay at it and keep me posted.
I absolutely agree @Mateo! Here in Va. bud rot is my biggest enemy, followed closely by spider mites and aphids.
Thanks for the heads up, i need to make some research now on dr zyme.
I was kinda of anxious being away from a week and not being able to water it.
It seems like root drenches are fine until about 3 weeks before harvest and before flushing/plain watering. As for sprays the two I mentioned (neither of which I have ) are the prefered choices during flowering. Some of the guru’s may have some other options. Definitely get prepared for the rain and humidity to defend against bud rot, it’s the real pain of outdoor in Va. in my opinion. Keep at it!!
Btw, it looks like your SD is about 2 weeks ahead of me. I’m never sure when people say flowering whether they have counted the two weeks pre-flowering or not. Obviously, you did!
Them buds are gaining weight and getting me excited for what’s to come. Mine just started this week. I’m going to use you for my crystal ball!
Thinking of using a canopy tent i have on big rain event and will try to move a fan outdoor to dry if any water gets on the bud, hopefully the plan i have in mind works, will see.
That sounds like a great plan. I wish I had one! I think with those and your obvious love and care, that girl is gonna be a winner!
That’s a big happy beauty! Nice job!
Finally found her, she s also getting thicker. She was brown and tiny the first time i found her a few month ago.
Now you’re going to have me spending my weekend mantis hunting through my yard.
Sweet, I got a Japanese maple out front! Heading there now @Jonesy287. Thanks for the tip, you rock!
Things are getting very interesting, she s skunky, very sour and stacking beautifully.
Almost 3 weeks without rain we missed all the storm my rain water tank is empty.
I will be feeding her my tap water Ph down to 6.5.
I’m liking where this is going!! She is looking beautiful. You are gonna have some serious SourD when she gets done, and looks like a good bit too.
