About a year ago I started using cannabis for a couple of health reasons. I’m here on the east coast in a suburb of a small town in NC. NC is known to be terrified of transgender people, gays and of cannabis (yes we are moving asap). I’m 40, married, father of 3. I found myself in the hood buying from Big Worm on a Friday night and decided that it wasn’t worth getting shot over so I germinated, planted in containers around easter. Everything was fine until I decided they needed to start flowering about 3 weeks ago. I tried a couple of things first but decided on large black trashcans to force flower. I put them on about 2 hours before sun set and they were vented. I pulled the cans off pre-dawn the next morning and all my tops were cooked to a crisp! I trimmed the best I could but what is going to happen now? These are the current pics taken just now
These are two of the plants
I would do it the other way put them on and dark then pull them 2 hours after daylight since in morning the heat is not as extreme as the afternoon heat.
I would just let them finish out on their own. You’d be surprised how well weed can come back and flourish! I wouldn’t try the trash can technique anymore either lol. I know you wanted them to flower early but at this point I think you’ll just have to wait it out for her to naturally flower. She’s gonna spend at least a week healing from the burn and pruning. But You could just keep watering and feeding nutrients and I’m sure she’ll turn back around and finish nicely. Hope this helps for you @Clay0, I’d hate to see you not get anything after all the work and time you put in!

Hey @Clay0, your plants don’t look too bad, you should see my outdoor grow this year, All beat up,but we"re learnin.
Stay away from the trash cans, let em grow out, they"ll come back. You may want to try some Autos next year, but be careful of transplanting, they don’t like it. Grow them entirely in the same container, 4-5 Gal. Blue berry and White Widow Autos are great for outdoor grows and beginners… Welcome to ILGM!!
My next set of seeds will definitely have a few autos to try. I much appreciate the members here putting my mind to ease, thanks!
Your going to be fine. As ktreez pointed out no more trash can’s and say away from Big worm…lol
Will
Buahahaha… the trashcans will be catching rain water soon and I’m never
fooling with Big Worm again… thanks for the help!
I see you out there Keith. Catching up are we… …lol
Will

Ditto…
So I’m guessing you wanted to force flower so you could stay out of the hood and away from the Big Worm ?
I think you could do it @ryry’s way right now, they don’t look that bad and the damage is already done
I don’t expect a heat problem for 2 hours past sunrise but you could put a thermometer underneath one of the barrels and check it at 2 hours past Sunrise ?
-good luck
Yes the trash cans were certainly a terrible idea. I’ll just let them finish on their own since I’m this late into outdoor season. Thanks for the replies
