OlyBoy’s 2nd indoor grow with Sunset Sherbet

Here we go, yo. Here we go, yo. Here’s my scenario.

What strain
ILGM Sunset Sherbert

Method: Soil w/salt, Organic soil, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, KNF
50/50 FFOF/Sunshine Mix #4, Water only until flower. Then will begin using Jacks321 when plants start showing signs of deficiency.

Vessels: Pots, Grow beds, Buckets, Troths
3 gallon cloth pots

Light system
1x HLG and 1 Amazon LED special

65F-75F, it’s a closet with no shared outside walls. It’s always roughly the same temp as the bedroom.

Yeah…I’m still trying to figure that out.
Ventilation system; Yes, No, Size

None. There is a 3x4 access door in the ceiling of the closet for access to the attic that I might be able to vent to in case of ‘emergency’.

So my grow space is 27” x 34”. I could make it 31 x 39 pretty easily, but I would run into a slight issue with the lights not being centered over the plants. The lights are currently 8” above the seedlings and I have 39” more to raise. And two little fans for circulation.

I put two seeds in a wet paper towel and baggie on 10/10. On 10/12 they sprouted little tails, and I put them in cups of Sunshine Mix #4 and domed them. One popped out of the ground on 10/13 and one popped out on 10/14. They’ve been sitting on the kitchen counter (w/ 24 hour cabinet lighting) for the last few days. Since they both popped, I stuck them in their pots (in their cups) under theie big girl lights.

First true leaves around April 24th. Started Flower around May 24th I haven’t taken ppm readings since they started Flower and I started Jack’s. Haven’t felt the need. Once they started Flower and ppm’s dropped down around 950 so I started nutes I haven’t taken readings since. Pests We all hate pests (bugs). Over the 30 years or so of indoor growing I’ve seen a good bit of them. Have had spider mites a few times, thrips a few times, powdery mildew once, and fungus gnats more times than I can remember. Hell, I have fungus gnats right now and they are the only real bugs I’ve had in over a decade. At least fungus gnats are easy to get rid of. Oh, I was talking to Hellraiser about a gardening tip I saw. They said you could purchase neem flour and use it to deter bugs. They said the neem was effective because all the bugs hate the smell.
