Now that I have it, in plain English please, tell me what i’m looking for. I’m new to this so again, please, don’t assume I know the technical stuff. Thank you.
Make sure that when you check the trichomes that youre not checking the sugar leaves and are checking the actual calyx of the bud. If you cant get a clear shot just simply take a blade or something and remove one or more of the calyx (seedpod looking parts) and check those. I say this because the sugar leaves will always mature faster than the buds. And youll harvest prematurely.
Personally i prefer a 10 to 12% amber to cloudy ratio for harvest. Some sativas will never amber and just go cloudy/clear so bear that in mind if they seem to be dying back and not turing amber.
Most people do not want a ton of amber because it has a heavy sedative effect and takes the heady fun out of the equation. Amber trichomes on the calyx are basically the indicator she is as ripe as shes gonna get so harvest now before its too late.
Yes this helped. Thank you.
Thank you Ebb.
