I’ve got an issue I’m not to sure about. Hope someone can throw some light on it for me.
I’ve been growing for quite a while now, but haven’t had this before.
I appear to have a lockout of some kind but not to sure what. Everything appears to running how it should, ph 5.8 nutrient temp 21c . ppm was at about 400 when I first noticed it. I use bubblers and the roots were only just starting to hit the water, so ppm was low. I have plenty of air in all tubs.
it seems to be on the older leaves.
I was thinking, calcium, magnesium or phosphorus … Any ideas or solutions would be most helpful.
Have you fed them at all?
Hi and thanks for your help. Yes they’re being feed.
I’m fairly certain now its looking like magnesium lockout. I’m going to flush and and lift the ph a touch and add some cal/mag. Im hoping im on the right track.
Ph and temps appear to be in range?
When is last time you calibrated your meters and what is your nutrient mix?
At 400ppm and correct ph you shouldn’t see much in lines of deficiencies if using a good balanced nutrient mix, which is why I ask is it a 3 part 2 part organic/non organic any additives etc… and the actual dosing
looks more like Phosphorus to me
I agree with Donaldj my first thought was phosphorus as well
Thanks guys. .
Nutrients are gh flora series …regular scedual
I’ve been using the same for a few years now this is first time I’ve had this … good call with the ph meter, i was thinking that also. I recalibrated which i had also just done. Im still a bit suspect on the buffer so im going for a fresh bottle to be sure.
Room temp is 25c rh is about 60% at the moment but should be back up in a day or so …
So you guys are leaning towards phosphorus issue.
I have always had good results with flora series when you say reg schedule are you using their recirculating chart? I tend to modify dosing some myself RO or tap water?
400 ppm seems a bit low to me but your top and new growth looks fairly healthy I would add slightly more bloom to bump PK and shoot for a 500-600 ppm
Hey Donald thanks for your input.
The ppm is a touch low. they had only been in their buckets a few days. The roots were only just coming out. I generally build the ppm up over the week to about 600. The new growth was good and still is.
After checking over roberts and others diagnosis pages. I’ve gone with magnesium and calcium.
I was thinking phosphorus but when i compared different pictures and symptoms i kept leaning towards the other.
Im now the owner of a new ph meter. I believe that was the culprit. … thanks mate…
