7 gallon fabric pots. 7 weeks in, plants are fine. Soil has settled to approx. two thirds full. My concern is roots won’t have adequate room to continue growing. Is it too late to transplant. Just starting to flower.

Compaction is common. Most of us just add more soil to the pot.

Thanks MidwestGuy. My understanding is fabric pots have less tendency for roots to bind.

You could transplant but it’s certainly not needed. You’re in fabric post so the roots will self prune and anything above soil will harden. 7gallons is a large pot indoors so if ya dropped your probably at 5 gallons with is absolutely fine as well.
You can grow a large plant in a 3gallon so no need to worry at all.

They also breath far better. Cannabis needs the good drainage because it prefers wet/dry cycles for good root health.
