Alright, ive started my second grow while still waiting for a couple plants from my first grow to finish up. So for now i have 4 seedlings under one 150 watt led in a 2x2 tent lol the fit isnt great but should work for a couple weeks. Growing cannalope kush, blackberry moonrocks, watermelon, and orion f1. Tried to mix my own super soil, so hopefully i got it right. Used some compost&biochar, my own compost, manure and topsoil, perlite, Vermiculite,
coir and someother stuff i cant remember. then added some amendments mostly from down to earth brands. The list of everything from the mixes is too much to list lol but its alot. Let it bake for a few weeks. Put each seed in a small container of water in a warm dark place till root popped, they popped after 20ish hours. Then in moist paper towel for 12 hours till the root grow bigger, then into root riot pod things and into the soil. Theyre in 7 gallon fabric containers, put some humidity domes on em and mist those when humidity drops below 80%ish. Once my 1st grow finishs or these need to be put in there, theyll be under four 150watt led lights. Also bought a watt reading thing and the hyperlite groplanner is at around 156watts. I could put the 5th led in there as well, but my lughts burned my 1st grow a tad at 85% and 3 ft above canopy so i dont think ill need it. Running 2 oscillating clip fans, 2 more regualr clip fans, 1 box fan pushing air in from the bottom, an intake fan connected to a carbon filter pulling air out the top to the outside, humidifier and dehumidifier as needed. Hoping i learned enough from the previous grow to up my yield, first plant i chopped weighed in at 1.5 oz dry, second one at 2oz, looks like the 2 other GDP will be around the same as the previous 2. I think tangerine will yield a bit more. The potency is super and a good high. Not much for aroma or flavor, its not bad just not really much there lol. All sprouted from soil August 7th. Thats all i can think of

6 weeks, well posting 2 days early because they were starting to look hungry, so fed em a mix of around 4-11-12, gave em some fish sh!t, molasses and worm castings too. Bottom left is watermelon and seems to be the smallest, top left is blackberry moonrocks and seems to be the biggest and went into flower about 10 days after the other 3. Top right cannalope is doing well and bottom right orion f1 seems to be at a similar pace as cannalop. Pretty quiet grow so far. Watering at ph6.5, runoff ph6.4-6.6. They arent taking much water 1 gallon between the 4 of them lasts 4ish days so far. Fungas gnats are slowing way down. Testing cold temperature swings to see if color change happens, getting colder at night here in MN… thats all i got👍
I lied, i guess i have more. The backberry is difficult to train down, shes a hefty lady that doesnt wanna bend, she cracked a few times so taped er up to be safe, we’ll see how that goes. The orion f1 i fim’d the fim so now shes topped, she went into flower shortly after so not much came from it, probably wont top/fim autos again lol. Got some photo seeds so ill probably start those soon, change things up a bit.
6 weeks, packing on the heft now, all seem to be doing well. Started 2 photo seeds in my small tent, mightve been premature but ahhhwell🤷‍♂️. Have alfalfa seeds germinating to throw a tea together for the photo seedslings and probably throw some onto my flowering plants just to see what happens. The photos i started are joannes cbd and green gelato, hopefully they dont outgrow the tent before the 2nd grow finishes, but might be able to make room. 2nd grow is getting frosty as sticky, good amount of scent coming off em, so far it looks like itll be a better grow than my first so thats awesome
Week 7. Might have the start of K defiency on one plant, and a bit of nitrogen excess on the other, nothing crazy. Plants are fattening up nicely. Photos are 5 days old, seem to be doing alright. Gelato poped out of the soil with cotyledons a pale yellow, but turned green a few hours later. Joannes shell was stuck for a day or so, im guessing thats why shes a bit shorter maybe, took the domes off them today and spray misted the outside edge, might be a bit early for that but a good way for me to learn what works and what doesn’t
