Newt I am late to this party and almost caught up reading through your journal rn. What I’m wondering as reading through jan this year during your f back to m experiment, would the spray be more effective if you intentionally induced stress that would under normal conditions potentially cause a plant to herm out or switch to male? If that makes sense or am I thinking about the process wrong?

Potentially.

Side note… I’m all caught up. I took notes lol I have questions but all in good time. Your garden is an inspiration to this greenhorn. Thankfully, so far my garden is staying greener than I am.

Yes newt @MeEasy and quite a few other really have their homes dialed in pretty well. Me ont he other hand I struggle but I’m not so deep into this as I was before. I am thoroughly enjoying collecting seeds tho lol. Matter a fact I’m bored and scrolled thru most forums so far I may start to load up the new seed cases with seeds and go from 3 cases and about 50 packs to a solid case or 2 I have most of the labeling done made and on containers now I need to go thru and each seed type needs sorted into containers which shouldn’t be too bad to do there is a shit ton of seeds to go thru tho. Lol. And today I shall uppot one of the blk truffle clones to 1 gallon and let her settle for a week then start spray and flip on her and when I start the spray and flip on her I’m gonna transplant another one one for pollen one for seeds. I have 8 going now in nursery bags about a foot plus tall and foot round. Def need transplanting as they been in nursery bags as long as the headsmog x bubblegum plant been in the 1 litre pot. Like 3 months now since the spraying of last black truffle plant. Lol.

Thank you for the tag, apologies for my absence.

The full moon in Virgo :virgo: a fertile earth sign, not bad for starting germination, I am guessing you had a good turnout.

Waxing moon phase in a fertile sign of earth or water are preferable, though air signs better for flower producing plants, turnout is lower.

During flowering the waning moon phase helps speed maturity, and thicken the fruits.

morning Newt…man AC has a product for every part of the grow and it all connects together…really neat

They really do seem to be addressing all areas. I’m very happy with all of my ACI products. I plan on trying hypochlorous acid in the humidifier, just to assist with keeping any further mildew at bay.

your basement gets that humid???

I run a dehumidifier in the basement to protect Mrs. Newt’s quilting fabric. So my basement stays around 35-40% RH. But that seemed to be the sweet spot for WPM this winter. And since I want the humidity in my veg tent higher than 35-40, I figure if I am increasing the humidity, I may as well do it with something that fights WPM.

I didn’t realize the mold issue you had happened at that low of a humidity…I always thought you had to have high humidity for any mold to form…another thing learned today

Thats were i was so i tore all my mylar out to get rid of the nasty humidity and keep lower temps. WRONG lesson 420.024 they need some humidity to breath otlr the start getting the WPM. That looks like the ticket right there. I’m also thinking about those side lights.

I thought the same thing. At least the strain I have seems to like 35-40%

The side lights are awesome! Love them. Can’t wait to see how much they help with lower bud sites.
