My plant started growing late December or early January . Im a newbie at this any tips would help . Im wanting to know what stage yall think its in . Im 5’3 and the plant comes to a little below my knee .

Looks like its in the flowering stage for sure.
What part of the world are you in to have plants like this pop up in your garden in December.
Is it a sativa strain?

Suuurrrree. 
Your plant is in early flower. Depending on growing conditions and genetics it could be another 7-8 weeks give or take from finishing.

Im in texas . and i think its indica ive been reading some articles and the leaves look like indica leaves .

Re the type your plant that popped up in your garden.
I got a lot to learn about everything.
Re growing marijuana.
Learnt a lot since being here on the forum.
Indica matures sooner than sativa from what ive read.
