Here are a few pics of my seedling. This is a White Widow Autoflower I got Germinated in water. Planted seed in a Jiffy pellet on 10/24. Have a 5 gallon pot from A pot 4 pot waiting to transplant my seedling in with their premix of soil and nutrients. Does my seedling look healthy? The stem looks like it could possible have root rot or another issue such as overwatering. It just popped above ground 36hrs ago and has been this color the whole time. Also, i noticed my root coming out of the side… Should I go ahead and transplant noway? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated
Looks healthy to me. Your pellet looks a little to wet. I believe there’s no reason that you couldn’t transplant into larger pot.
I thought my pellet looked wet as well so I’ve had my light, a 300watt full spectrum LED on it at about 18in for a 1.5 days straight then gave it a 4hr break last night. I just transplanted it this morning into my 5 gallon pot. Its sitting 24in below my light right now, because I’ve been waiting on my adjustable straps to come in to move it, of course I didnt order enough the first time.
Has anybody had experience growing the White Widow Autoflower strain from ILGM?
Yes I have grown a few batches of white widows from ilgm. Have any particular questions about it? I found it to a beginners dream it’s resilient to mold and powder mildew , as well as being forgiving on nutrient mistakes.
What did you find the optimal temp, humidity, distance with the light, and light cycle? I know each light varies, but im just trying to get an idea. Idk why, but my stem seems dark to me. Every other pic I see has a green stem. Idk if its just because mine is so new.
I’m only in a 32inx32inx63in tent right now so that light would be too big for me. This light I have is just a basic light as far as i researched, then again, its been 15years, and a brain injury since I’ve grown so I’ve forgotten most of what I knew lol
What is the stems color , sometimes the color is clues on imbalances? As far as temp 65 to 70 and I keep my humidity at about 55 to 60. As far as light height I use hlg lights so I always keep my lights raised completely and let my plant grow to it. But the good part is widows are very forgiving if you aren’t in the perfect conditions or feeding perfectly.
It starts off purple then turns green from the new sprouts. These are pictures from now. She will be 12 days in soil in 11hrs. I can not figure out if I should seal off my tent completely, with a small fan inside going all the time, or leave a vent hole. I have a carbon filter hooked up to a 4in inline fan I keep going with my light on a 18/6 cycle currently. Light is 24in above as of right now.
Really depends on temperature if you must leave more air flow to keeps temp down do that. If your temp is good then seal it up to make sure you control the smell your call.
Yah for whatever reason even with my light on and 24in away, and my inline fan which has 135 CFM on full blast, in my 32inx32inx60in tent, my temp usually stays at 75-76. So sounds like I need to vent it with airflow
The second part to that is finding a fan that isn’t too powerful lol I’ve purchased the smallest one I could find and even the slow setting blows the plant around. So i have it placed outside the tent, blowing in thru an intake vent. I cant afford a humidifier right now, so my humidity is staying right around 50-55. I go in there every 6 hours and spray the walls down to keep humidity around 60-70. It is always 50-55 when I come back. At night when the light and fan goes off, it jumps up to 70-75 though. Temps range from 65-80 from night to day. Typically staying mid 70’s with the light on
3 weeks and 3 days old today. What should I do to get those smaller newer branches from pushing on the upper bigger ones?
I’m excited, I have a new light coming in tomorrow. I’m switching over to the Mars Hydro TS 1000w. I’m running a 32x32x63 tent, so this light should be good, especially since it comes with a dimmer. Kicking myself in the ass for not getting a taller tent.
Has anybody used A pot 4 pot? It feels awkward just watering my plant and not adding nutes especially seeing everyone else mixing their soil.
Can’t say I have used the pot for pot setup , have however helped several people transition out of it. It’s a good kit for beginners but is expensive for any long term growers.
What soil do you recommend? I have been seeing a lot of Fox Farm mixes.
