New user, first grow

Hey all I garden regularly and thought I’d give growing cannabis a shot to supply myself. I’ve read so much great info here and watched a shit ton of vids on YouTube.

They’ve been in since Jan 26th and I’m trying to figure out when to flip timing to 12/12.

Deets:
2x2x4 grow tent (tiny)
In the tent - 2 Mystery seeds ( 2 back ups for next op)
Vivosun 300 LED (no control switches) running 18/6
4” outtake into carbon filter (outside of tent) running 24/7 lowest setting
2 4” fans one on 24/7 the other on with lights schedule
Temp Running about 78 - 72 degrees
Humidity 40-50% last 3 weeks; 30% prior
Soil mix miracle grow organic, seed starter and peralite in 3 gallon fabric pots
Tap Water Ph is 7.5, I didn’t get a tester until this week but they seem fine; I think because of the Lyme in the seed starter.
used topping and low stress training to try and maximize yield in small space
Fox farms nutrients about a 1/4 of what’s listed on soil feed schedule and cal mag every 3rd watering
Right now they are about 17“ from the light
I can raise the light another 3-4“ max

Appreciate your thoughts and insight.

The ones in the tent look healthy, but a pic in natural light would help. If the leaves look healthy then be sure to watch them for possible nute burn. Miracle Grow soils have time released nutes that can create problems. A PPM meter would help you monitor it.

Welcome! When you do flip to 12 /12 The bigger plant is probably going to double in size. You might look at ways to gain a few more inches by shortening rigging on your light. You may also need to do a little training. Also important to get that tap water PH down to 6.2 to 6.5 ph. plants look good.

Looking great. They will get a lot bigger during flower. Depending on strains they could triple in size. Those look short and bushy so I would do the light flip with about 30 inches of space between the canopy and the light at its highest possible location. That will allow the space you need to avoid light burn with a little training.

Oh no I’ve only got about 20 inches from top of plant to bottom of light if I raise it to it’s highest

Dont sweat it. Watch some videos on super cropping and get some netting. Greengenes garden has good video tutorials on plant training. Also if you are using photos and dont mind the extra veg time you can make your plants grow into a y shape you want. They are very forgiving while still in veg.
