Im having a issue with my seedlings. The smallest is pointing up when its domed and without it goes back to normal. Light is 24" at 40%. The second “stretch” has the tips turning up but looks good. Temp and humidity run 76°f 55% rh.
Im lost and dont want to have issues with these plants.

That is 100w light. A little on the weak side especially for more than 1 plant. It may veg them ok but will not produce good dense flowers.
Suggest keeping the domes on, add soil if necessary to make up for too much stretch and run light at 100% about 20" above the sprouts. Place your hand under at plant level and if it is not uncomfortable to you the plants will like it too. Adjust the height as necessary as the plant reacts. They are light hungry plants by nature so more is better.
Bury the stem with more dirt and drop the light to around 18" @NoStringz . That light is not going to burn the plant. I would set it to 1 foot if it was me with 100 watts to work with. My diy seedling light is 200 watts and I leave it at 12" from the start. I don’t get any stretch that way. I turn it down to 75 watts until the seeds pop . I don’t do soil anymore so I only need it for the first 2 weeks or so.
Thanks, I appreciate the welcome and advice and took notes. I do have plans for a higher wattage light. More along the lines of the S24 or S33. But Im on a fixed income and figured I can buy once, cry once for tent and everything. Guess the cry will accomidate a I told you. Lol
So Ill make the suggested adjustments and look for a new light.
That looks really nice. That was something Id like to have but money and place is the issue for me. Thanks. Have books but its easier and more straight up from people that know a thing a 2 like Farmers. Lol
Good light is critical the ones in the picture are 300 watts each and all 3 cost almost $1,000. I have about that much in crappy lights in the top of my barn. I wish I would have listened to our light guru @dbrn32 and begged or borrowed the money to get them from the beginning. I can use them through all stages of growth and I can turn them up or down to whatever intensity I need for each stage. I don’t offer advice on what to get @NoStringz . I just advise you get good light
I got you. Im a newb at this so I went by the sales pitch it covers this big. But didnt really go deeper and thats my bad. So I come here to get first hand knowledge and everything.
Been down the buy once cry once but it was like buy 2 or 3 times and go play on the freeway with this. I built this 10th scale rc rally car from pictures and a parts list. Alot had to be upgraded because they stopped making it 10 years ago maybe.
Personal preference, I do not use a seedling mat. I plant sprouted seed directly into “forever home” and cover with clear dome.
Their shady sales practices are shameful for sure. Some are just questionable and others are downright criminal. Even reading the fine print doesn’t help sometimes.
My first set up was 200w in a 32x32. I was growing 3 at a time and only getting about 1 or 1+1/2 oz per. Some of that was due to inexperience though. I still need better than what I have now which is 2 Mars T-1000s (150w each). That should cover a 2x4 area if a little on the low end. I have a 4x8 tent but can only grow in one end of it until I can get better lights.
Hey Guys, Thanks again. The suggestions and advice has been great. These are from today and you can see a nice change going on. Just lowered the light and domed them. Will keep you posted on the progress.
