New member, new grow, new to autoflower seeds

It has been over 2 decades since my last grow.
But I do know a few things about growing.
The ability to get top-notch genetics makes things easier today.
It took me many clones and a number of years to get my purple haired strain before.
Now you can get beautiful purple buds from the start.

Started by chopping 20 g of wet bud today.

Little Jack Herer Auto has popped out above ground.
He will get a few hours of windowsill sun this am.
My ILGM seed germination rate remains 100%!

Now just 2 serious prunings and my JHA will be manifolded.
I think all this training will take place in his ghetto box.
I almost want to wait for the 1st pruning to transplant into the 1/2 G pot.
I’m concerned it will be too tall by that time if it is in the taller fabric pot.
I’ll just take it “One day at a time” for now.
I’m hoping that when JHA is fully manifolded it can move to the tent then.
If I’ve timed it right the SSH girls will finish at about that time.
Then I can run the Auto on my 5 on 1 off x 4 lighting schedule.
While manifolding a Durban Poison and a Grand Daddy Purple.
I’m wondering if 3 plants with 8 main colas each can fit in my 2’ x 3’ tent?

I would say the scrog would def make it work

I want to try a scrog but I like to lift my plants to see if they need water then set them in a pan to catch runoff. I can’t figure how to drain the runoff if they are tangled in a net and I can’t take them out of the tent. I am very “hands on” in my methods.
I like to get the sticky on my fingers then walk around sniffing them like I was the president or something.

Once I start cutting? 26 more wet g’s
JHA is alive!

I bought nets but don’t like using them.
My SSH girls are trained like a SOG I think.
They are about to do their entering flower stretch now.
I’ve got the Widow still drying out, no water yet.

That’ll produce some nice weight :love_you_gesture:

When starting even the sun leaves would get me high.
Now I’m taking a bowl of frosty stuff and putting a drop of my RSO on it.
Then coughing uncontrollably after every puff.
So my tolerance has gone way up again.
Things are starting to come in now but I don’t think I’ll get more than 3 ozs from the WWA.
I have a little outdoor to harvest yet.
My indoor production should continue to get better and faster.
I don’t have but a few pint mason jars starting to cure now.
I can’t wait until I have a case of jars of all the different strains I bought from ILGM!
The Super Silver Haze seeds were cheap but look like they will get nice and frosty.
I’m hoping they can finish in 8 weeks from now.

That’s going to be a sweet collection :love_you_gesture:

Yes, it will be! Just think of the next 3 strains I got lined up.
Never tried any of these but I am looking forward to it.
A signature mixed strain, a 100% landrace sativa, and a 100% purple indica.
I always liked the weed I grew with purple hairs.
Being able to switch strains often keeps a tolerance from building to one strain.
I am hugely interested in what this manifolding technique will produce.
Top strains grown with top notch techniques should produce the best I can get.

does this mean i have a girl

Unfortunately, that is not showing sex yet. The “hairs” you are looking for will first emerge from places like that but not yet.

This is a pre flower from a girl plant. Yours looks like it needs more time as @HMGRWN suggested.
Good luck and happy growing

Little Jack got transplanted today.
I cut the mesh off the peat pod and its tap root was 3/8" long and folded over at the mesh.
It did not penetrate the mesh and was being restricted!
I put some nice fluffy soil in the hole I made and dropped him in and covered the pod.
I changed my mind about transplanting, early was better now. IMHO
My LED is not strong and to keep him from stretching he needs to be close to it.
Even if he grows to touch it, I don’t think it would burn him like my other LEDs will.
Then even if the top did get burned it is gonna get topped off anyway.
He needs 5 or 6 nodes with its 1st side branches below growing out.
He will get topped above these branches leaving a little extra stem at the topping.
Then everything below will also get chopped off.
Leaving a sun leaf and 1 branch growing on each side.
Those branches will be trained to grow horizontal.
When it grows 4 nodes on each side branch. it will get chopped again.
The 4th node will be topped and the 2nd node cut off on each side.
Leaving the 1st and the 3rd node on each side of the horizontal branch.
And that’s it for developing the mainline/manifold shape.
My goal is to get this accomplished before this auto starts to flower.
My WWA started to flower at just under 5 weeks.
Do you think I’ll be able to get Jack mainlined before its auto genes make it flower?

I had Strawberry Cheesecake that flowered in 3 weeks.
Will be watching to see how this plays out.

Wow, 3 weeks? This is only my 2nd Auto grow.
It would be perfect if I get Jack Mainlined and he enters flowering right afterward.
It can go in the tent and let the SSH girls finish on 12/12.
Once they are done the tent can go on 5/1 x 4 lighting.
The Auto will finish flowering while GDP and DP veg on that light schedule.

The Grand Daddy Purple and Durban Poison seeds that are next are photo seeds.
GDP will drop 1 week before DP as it is supposed to take 1 week longer to flower.
