New ‘ish grower— how soon would I know the sex of my plant?

I have a A1 Yola plant that I grew from a Exotic Genetix reg seed. I know you can send leaf samples out for testing but are there any ways that I could tell it’s a male before the sex organs show up?

Dont think so, just gotta wait for pre flowers to show. Some people do take clones off a plant, and once it has established roots they switch the light to 12/12, this will determin sex of the mother plant.

No. filler to satisfy character minimum

You can take a cutting from it and root it…clone basically…
Then put the cutting under 12/12 lighting to see what it does while leaving the original plant under 18/6
Probably need to get bigger before you do that tho.

Lol…didnt see @Dave101 s comment

I might just do that. That seems like a viable thing for me. Thanks!

Good luck with the grow :v:

I just take a cutting pop it a cup of water 12 12 it works every time

Rooting is not necessary, the cutting merely needs to be kept alive, like in a cup of water as @Smitty420 said for the purpose of sex reveals.

It’s a girl y’all. I can confirm seeing the first set of pistils. I guess I’ll be busy cloning this winter while we deal with Chicago winter/Covid. Picked a good year to learn how to grow. Lol
