Quick update, girl scout cookies didnt make it. Through all the troubleshooting, i finally fugured out that the challenge was calcium toxicity. I was adding 8ml per gallon and on testing should have been 4 or 5. Ohh well lesson learned. Sense i lost 2 plants i repositioned their lights to hit the sides of Gelato Runtz and Bruce Banner. This will get interesting lol.

Why didn’t your other girls suffer this same fate since they all feed from the same source?

They were more resistant to it for whatever reason. Gorilla glue stunted small center, but when i raised the PH over 6.0 troubleshooting that reduced calcium and it and the others looked better. Blue Dream, center big one, has signs of magnesium deficency, and the girl scout cookues i cut down potassium. Both of these were locked out from the over abundance of calcium. At least this is my most evidence weighted hypothesis. Blue dream will make it to week 9, Banner and Gelato Runtz the most resistant to the calcium will go all the way to 13 i think.

ok makes sense…I just wanted to make sure you didn’t have something going on that prevented that from happening to those girls.

@Jarlax … i am wondering if during your search for your issue, if tou considered a potassium toxicity. I did notice a few post earlier you mentioned boosting the K. This is all just a thought on my part just figuring how to diagnose properly myself. I did figure out that i was over feeding my plants and in doing so it was absorbing to much K and not transporting the micros. Then i had the cal mag deficiency show up so i fed more cal mag to no avail. Its my understanding that K is the transporter of all liquids and nutes in the plant, but an over abundance will cause the plant to absorb only the K, causing micro lock out. Just my thought but i feel alot of people face this isuue during flower when they are feeding the boosters. It gets a tad high and what one thinks is a deficiency is actually caused by a toxicity. These are just the thoughts and questions and observations i go through. Im curious has anyone else looked at that line of reasoning. :sunglasses::v::heart:

@Retiredoldguy …that also works for a K def. The plant will absorb only K to get what it needs and not transport the micros. Atleast thats how i understand it. :sunglasses:

@NUG61 honestly i cant rule that out, and will look into that a little more. I didn’t add more K to the mix, just upped the PH a little. Additionally cal mag was the only additive i was adding at full strength, everything else is half basically as a start point. Im riding at about 1450 with. Advanced Nutrients Connisour bloom A-B with Nirvana, B-52, Big Bud, Rhino Skin, Cal Mag Extra, bud candy, then some terpinator,

@Retiredoldguy you know i thought about it, and it should be identical conditions. My buddy says that side is on an Indian burial ground and i just need to slide it over.

Man they definitely getting a plate full aren’t they… and this is just me brother but I would move forward knowing that they are not lacking anyting so any strange leaves or actions by the plant I would contribute to overfeeding and a toxicity… just something to keep in mind…we all immediately say deficiency :sunglasses:

Some bud porn, 1/2 way through week 4 of 12/12 light schedule.

Very nice setup and great looking plants :+1:t2:

Quick update, middle of week 7 from 12/12 light cycle. Definetly wish i had found this forum prior to starting this grow and i may have been able to avoid some challenges.

Bruce banner basically fell over on blue dream, and gelato fell over also, got these tied up now, but next time i have a table planned. Comically bruce banner got so heavy it fell into the 13 gallon bucket, but that was mostly due to it leaning and the table will fix that.

Blue dream will come down early, banner, gelato and gorilla glue going strong.

@NUG61 for sure, on the frequency of updates. Honestly, im excited to start again with a SCROG, or hybrid type trellis sense these are 6 foot indoor plants. Here last few weeks have been challenging with the ladies getting so heavy. Here are some more pics for context. As mentioned, blue dream survived the excessive cal-mag, and i flowered it anyway thats why it looks so terrible. It smells good and will at least give me about a half pound of pretty good smoke. The Banner and Gelato Runts (Skittlez crossed with Gelato) crossed with Gelato again is down right amazing even being not ready, and the banner is silly good also.
