Haha hope my questions to others helped you out a bit then lol. Yeah the ones by the walls have huge colas. The one in the middle doesn’t seem to be getting much browner. I’m posting pictures now.
I usually take them out to water and rearrange them differently every 3days or so.

Alrighty guys, I’m getting closer and closer to harvest. I’m excited and nervous and heart broken but then happy to start over haha. So many emotions lol

Well I ended up going plant by plant and taking a few pictures of each. And even some of the trichomes with the jewelers Loupe. It’s gonna be a few pictures so bear with me. Hope you all can help!

Thank you all! Let me know what everyone thinks.

Niceeee! My tent gets here in 4 days. I’ll chop them this weekend looks like maybe a few days before. Bc I know for sure at least 2-3 of them can use another week at least

@Sirsmokesalot any thoughts?

First off you’ve got some beautiful tree there - you should be very proud of yourself on a job well done. It definitely ain’t easy :slight_smile:

I think you have to go plant by plant. I see some that look ready to go and some that could probably use a few more days. Be careful as well not to make trich call on sugar leaves - they will turn sooner than on the actual bud (ie #2)

Ready to go: 2, 4, 6, 7

Wait longer:
#1 (pretty close but I think you can add weight over a few more days before she turns more Amber)
#3 I think you could add more weight over a few more days - maybe even a week or 2
#6 not quite there
#5 still a ways to go

Great job again!! :+1:

Broooo! Thank you! This is the guide I was hoping for! plant by plant someone
Actually looking and helping me decide. I was thinking about the same for my plants. Thank you so much for confirming!
and thanks again man, yeah it wasn’t easy. But this community and lots and lots of research made it all possible.
I’m receiving my “drying tent” in 4 days. I will be chopping them after that. So you said 2,4,6,7 ready to go. As I’m ready to chop and dry?
If so, should I not water those next water and let them consume themselves ? Thanks again man. I was just reading your super big grow from last year it popped up, and I saw you were active so I was hoping for a response!

Arrow and sirsmokesalot has you covered. You’re definitely in the window to harvest. Just need to decide how much amber you want. Looks like a couple of them could go a little longer.

@Sirsmokesalot nailed it for you.
The lnly thing I would add is remember to put each plant in 48hr of darkness before chop, and chop in the dark. The theory is you have under 2min to chop from lights on.
If you have big garden sheers that’s my favorite way, lights off unzip tent snip boom done.
Otherwise the stuff in the roots will shoot up into the plants within 2min of lights on.

Happy to help brother - got (and still get!) a lot of help starting out just trying to pay it forward. I do think they’re ready to chop any day you wanted. Be careful because they will turn from milky to all amber in just a day or two. Also make sure you are checking multiple sites on the plant. I’ve waited two long because I only checked one bud then at harvest rechecked and realized the error in my ways.

I gotta ask how you’re growing. Organic dry amendments or synthetic nutes? Organic you can chop whenever - synthetic you’ll need to flush and stop feeding so they cannibalize themselves. Can also throw ph out of wack so it can’t uptake any nutes - nice little hack I learned before I switched over to organic

In regards to watering you want to balance this with your drying environment. If you live in a really dry place where humidity is always super low I would chop with more moisture content so it doesn’t dry out too quickly. I live in a humid area so I try to have them pretty dry (say a half day or day after I would normally water).

As @Nicky stated a lot love to chop in the dark. I’ve tried both ways - also driving a stick in the stalk, placing ice on the rootball instead of watering the last time etc - I’ve never really seen a difference to be honest but it’s worth a try yourself. It’s not going to be worse by any means so what could it hurt?

Yeah I’ve taken most of the year off from posting been too busy with my 9-5, hemp farm, and also stealth grow :person_facepalming:t3:. I’ll be posting some updates on my threads and always feel free to tag me if I can ever help in anyway :+1: great job again m8

I wrote along post with a couple references but I can’t find it.

Anyways here is one piece of proof that 48hr makes a difference

Yeah cool! Ive seen a video about the darkness thing… sounds convincing. Oh in fact it was that video :laughing:
Obviously to be conclusive it requires numerous tests but yeah… it may actually make a difference? Some people say harvesting under a full moon makes a difference?
