This will definitely be interesting, how will you deal with runoff
My experience with promix is like coco-coir with daily feeding and lots of runoff.

I have essentially cake cooling racks I can sit them on the same diameter, the idea behind this is to keep them low and pancaked, I sat the last batch in this tent directly on the floor with no problems, I generally don’t soak my plants unless they need a flush.

However this is my 1st go with the pro mix and it’s a bit fluffier etc. than I’m used to vs. my normal premium soil.

Promix is an inert medium like coco-coir, it workss great but its not “soil” in the sense that there is very little to no nutrients in it like soil so nutrients will need provided pretty soon from the start and given with every watering with frequent waterings.
Growing in promix is alot different then growing in “soil”, idk why they call promix soil on the packaging because its kinda something different  but it does work great :+1:

I agree with Happy Pappy it isn’t soil. Many have learned this the hard way.

I am fully aware of this and have quite a collection of nutes, they’re being well fed.

Im watching to see how this works out because all plants are different

The idea is to start pulling each pair in the opposite direction of each other.

Its peat moss and is a great medium but is different than soil. It is also different than coco. Ph wise its in between closer to that of soil and being 6.2 to 6.4. you water/feed aprox every 3 days and nutrients are a must

Unbuffered peat moss by itself is not a good medium. PH swings as it decomposes. Needs lots of perlite.

Ive used it since the 80’s as well as soil, hydro and aero and actually prefer it…never have a problem with it

I’m ending the experiment and transplanting into normal pots. One got so top heavy it fell over.

They’ve been in the normal 3 gal. Pots for a couple days now, bushed out nicely. They’ve been topped and defoliated. They hate me right now, they’re going to bush out like crazy.

Perked right back up again.
