I leave the clips on. But as the ends grow. I tie them down. The clips help keep the shape you want. I wouldn’t think they really restrict. When I chop the DT tomorrow. I will be able to see just what mine look like at the end of a grow
Cool post a pic for me buddy
Okay so I have redone the Lemon Skunk feed lighter dropped amount of Cal mag and trimmed off all the burnt leaves.
The Critical Purple Kush is getting sticky and frosty.
And finally Northern Lights looking bushy - I got crazy and added another clip to mess around last night.
Updated pics from a week later, taken yesterday.
Lemon Skunk
Critical Purple Kush
And Northern Lights
Okay have tone down the nutes - seems they’ve stopped burning. I’ve cut back Cal mag was feeding at 5ml/gallon. Also I’ve embraced less is more trying to feed lightly. Some strains are fine until flower then then get picky if fed too aggressively. Pics are about four or five days newer as my last post the pics weren’t up to date. Lemon Skunk waiting for buds to fatten up a couple more weeks…
And Critical Purple Kush maybe two weeks
Finally Northern Lights filling out… Bushy lady
These are all looking great. You have me thinking maybe I need to do a few less and spread mine out a little more
Yes, I usually do only two at a time - each in opposite corners and adjust lights to be slightly towards that corner on each of the two lights as they’re on separate sliding overhead bars. If you’ve seen way back in my journal I’ve gotten some huge pairs in the past - wouldn’t have room for a third really. I started these with too much light but it kept them smaller. I ran the this run to stock up - create some back stash.
So I’ve been looking at the calendar and wondering what’s up with these girls. Google tells me that growing autos under less than 18 hrs. of light will impact the size (hello) of the buds. hmm shit that’s not good. I always grow autos but this is the second grow with mixing a photo period in with the autos. Thus I’m running 12/12 now. Ugh. Next grow all autos and 18 hr. light.
Wow Neo the ladies are HUGE!
Thanks @anon33684698 - I’m hoping to get enough to get me through until the next harvest. They aren’t as big as they look I stunted these with too much light from the beginning. Remember this is the first run with my matched pair of good lights… They’re looking like the buds are tighter hopefully they’ll be heavy dense buds. I ordered some Kool bloom to throw in during flower. Just when I think I’ve got it closer to dialed in - but hey live and learn. this grow it was red LST clips and matched upgraded lighting and adding floraliciouus. Next grow nothing different but I’m going to do some ILGM white widow again.
I think Google lied to you I do autos on a 12/12 all the time because of running photos. Every now and then you get a few strains that have smaller buds. But I find that true with a 18/6 as well. I just gave a full bottle of the Kool bloom to a friend. Overdrive did better for me there. I am only using the AN stuff now with the GH and only to use it up. I am doing as well with just base nutes. I realized that looking back to my first grow. I got better buds from a lot using straight GH in it. I have enjoyed this grow. You feed way different from me. So it gives me a chance to see how others do feed wise
Yes I normally run 18/6 all the way thru but this is the second time having to flip due to a photo in the mix. Feed wise I was just looking at the three part GH feed chart and noticed it’s different amounts of micro, grow and bloom in each week!?! Oh boy now I’m scratching my head… Only difference is the six part chart has the cal mag and silica only reason I switched to it and now I notice this difference. Lord Help Me! Thoughts?

And the three part, six part and ten part feed charts have different amounts of the basic trio - I like a stoned idiot - presumed they just added the silica and additives. I’m re thinking going to the three part chart and adding my cal mag and silica and hydroguard as I was doing prior to this grow. Man, go on vacation and I get myself all screwed up.
This is what I run for the GH I only do 1/2 strength for autos. It is all they have ever wanted. I have fed more. But for 99% of the autos, it hasn’t been needed I am in coco as you know. I run 1/2 tsp 2.5ml of cal mag till full flower then drop to 1/4 tsp or 1.25ml I my self don’t change the ratios when I use the big bud or other things. Not telling you what to do. Just showing my chart
Just my o2 but those numbers over 750ppm are more for photos. Well, has been my experience.
You’re right the chart does say photo period. I’m going to do next grow with numbers from medium feed the past chart and add my cal mag, silica and hydroguard as I had been doing before switching feed chart by mistake so to speak. I’m gonna bust out another ILGM white widow next run and give her the LST clips - last run she was huge yields.
You make me glad my nutes are so simple to use!
Oh stop that! LoL it’s just that flexible. Crazy folks with three feed charts - each with aggressive, medium and light feed rates. I don’t get why the three main parts vary when on the chat with additives. Maybe to keep the overall ppms within range? I was doing fine then I find a newer feed chart and I apparently fell in a rabbit hole. I’ve shaken it off now.
I’m always just around the corner watching…
What nutrients are you using again…?
I can’t remember…
I have my own recipe for gh nutrients with av additives…
Been doing it forever with awesome results…
I’ll post if you want info…
Might help a little…
Plant’s are lookin good tho , besides a little nutrient overload …
ph could also be a little weird…
It happens more towards late flowering…
Plant’s are still a super medication …
And lookin beautiful…
