I am growing Green Crack for the first time. Flowering time differs from site to site so was wanting to know when I should start flushing? Started 12/12 on May 31 and know that it will be several weeks still and know how to tell when to harvest but not to know when to flush. I am using 4ml/L Sensi Bloom, 2ml/L of Big Bud ( last week ) and 2ml/L Bud Candy. Everything is going great just need help with this last question. Thanks a lot guys!
I’m also curious about this since I am approaching this also.
I usually flush after wiping…
@AAA I like to conserve water so I wait till the bowl is filled to the rim.
Hmm, I flush after the motherlode then after every 4th wipe. I’m on a country toilet.
Different strokes, #2 humor is timeless!
Depends on the high. I like more of a head high so first sign of amber, but I grow in coco too. Soil you would probably want a little sooner
@HornHead so physically how do we now just the trichomes color? Because the trick is guessing ahead of time and them ripening before chop correct?
I forgot to mention I am growing in soilless mix. Thanks.
Once all pistols have turned red and are curling in is a good sign to begin looking at tricomes. Once I see amber and do my flush, by the time I chop, there isn’t much more. Say I flush at 1% amber, by the time I chop, there may be 3%
Theres a very interesting thread about flushing, dont know how to link but its called
To flush or not to flush
Here ya go.
Thanks jbum i aint to computer savy, but that’s by another member look up ,dumme , is our member name haha it don’t sound right but this guy aint no dummy @Jbum
That’s ok sir! You are cannabis growing suave and that’s way more important!
Thank u my friend
Depends, yellow or brown?
Lmao all this talk about flushing makes want to do a outdoor composting toilet and never flush again!!! Damit boy im gona on that good herb again!!! @aaa
A good base line is to flush once you are seeing cloudy tricombs, that way by the time the tricombs are all cloudy you should be flushed and you can keep flushing until they Amber 30%.
Pistols are a very tough Geuss, but they won’t all. Mature I jsut chopped a plant that was 30% Amber and still had a few new looking pistles.
Only second plant but I started flush as soon as I seen amber this time so I can take it slower and longer to try and put on more weight
I usually try to flush about 2 weeks before my harvest. One thing about flushing is you’re also removing the plants food so that is another stress factor (not all stress is bad). I do it at 2 weeks because I don’t want any mineral salts at all being fed to the plant. I actually flush it about 3 times in a 2 week period. The last being about 4 days before harvest. That’s just me though
