Need a good ratio mix for those products together and if all are needed/usefull … Plus I have FFOF and Root Farm Hydro Garden potting mix as the soil bases I want to mix all of them together but don’t know where to start and I don’t want to mess up any help out there???
Hello I’m a new 1st time grower and I’m trying to figure out the best mix of those products in the picture with 1 bag of FFoF and Root Farm Hydro Garden potting mix? I know I can use just FFOF and just go from there but I want to mix the 2 together plus the other stuff and transfer my about 3 week old seedlings to 1gal pots… The seeds are regular so I don’t know which are female’s yet. I have 15 about 3 week old seedlings ready to transplant if I could get a good ratio to start with or just advice on if I should even use the product’s together?? Any help out there… Oh I have them on 18 to 6 under a mars Hydro tsw 2000 and I’m also wondering should the light be full blast (100) or 50 or 25 or min lights? The dimming has it’s on section aside from the 2 ballasts… Always wonder about that and can’t seem to find the answer anywhere…
I also live in Vegas where it’s very hot during the day so I run my lights from 6 at night until 12noon before it starts to get really hot. During that schedule when do u think is the best time to prepare and transplant to bigger pots? Plus the height has been from 24 to 30in above the plants 2 fans and cool mist humidifier and the temp still stays between 80 and 85 with light on humidity between 50/60…lights off between like 70 and 77 degrees hum like the same closer to 50 to about 45… Just wondering is that good or will it cause problems
Any particular reason you want to mix them? The concern I will mention is about the heat. Ocean is a hot soil then you want to add more to it? The reason is if you get high temperature your plant will suck up more water to handle that heat but they also suck up more nutrients than needed. So if your using a hot soil there’s already a abundance of nutrition then you wanna mix even more could cause you issues, Just something to think about. As far as the lights @dbrn32 can help I’m not sure of the actual wattage on those.

I would never suggest that a first time grower build his own soil. You have many challenges ahead: why make it harder?!

Young plants and clones you can probably run about 50% and gradually increase intensity as they mature.

i been mixing mine since my first grow. Just dont go over on directions and the key ingredient for my personal experience is worm castings like 25% and dolomite lime to stabilize ph. This is only my opninion and experience. Everyones is different

Thanks bro. I totally understand but I’m just experimenting a little bit lol plus the root farm was cheap and pretty much like a low grade soil less knock off to FFOF to me. So I got it and wanted to save the FFOF for female plants but my seedlings roots was rounding out the bottom of the sole pots so it was time to do something because I was hoping to keep them in the soles until I could see which were females but here and YouTube say to transplant to 1gal pots so I knocked that out so they can continue to grow so I guess I’ll see in a couple of weeks how they take to the mix and which ones are females then I’m going to just put them in 3gal pots straight FFOF and a whatever nutrients is best for the rest of my grow
Hey good deal, I like to see people experimenting. Each grower has there own style trying new things is how you develop that style. Learn and try is all you can do. Even experienced growers are constantly trying new ideas and adapting.

This is how it looks now and if whoever u mentioned replys back then that would be helpful because I need to know now if my mh tsw 2000 is enough light for all of them for now until I find out which are females but the journey continues. Thanks for the advice
He did look up a few posts he said run it like 50 percent and gradually go up. He’s the one that’s says moderator beside his name
