Has anyone ever tried or experienced taking a vegging plant thats been in th light 24-7 its whole life and before goes under the hps set it in the room and stay in the solid dark for 2 or 3 dayS before turning the light on ? Is there something to that or b.s. tia
You are the second person to ask that in the past couple weeks. I don’t know anything about doing this between veg and flower but alot of people have been talking about doing this right before harvest
I ve heard that does help trigger flowering especially if you’re having a hard time triggering it I suspect its because the most optimal time in nature for successful flowering would be after a heavy rainfall thus a day or two of heavy overcast would indicate that
Only do 24 hours no need to extend that period
Never heard that one before I see others here do that at harvest for a few days,I don’t do other but… Interesting
I have heard of it being used for stubborn autos!
Old growers report that 3 days of darkness between any vegetative light cycle and the flowering light cycle causes the plants to avoid any stretch. I know people who claim it works, but I haven’t seen it or seen anything but the most casual annecdotal evidence from others.
