Spider Farmer SF-4000 LED Grow Light, with Samsung Chips & Dimmable Mean Well Driver, Full Spectrum 3000K 5000K 660nm 760nm IR for Indoor Plants $589

@dbrn32 would be best able to comment on this light.

ChilLED is doing some mighty fine lights right now and giving Horticulture Lighting a run for it’s money. You should look at those two manufacturers as well.

If you would be kind enough to add information like the size of grow space would be helpful to him.

I think what my friend was asking about was what size tent and how many plants are you looking to grow. This will help with recommendations as to lighting choices to consider to effectively cover that space

for this light I would use in my 4x4 tent, 2 to 4 plants

Has elg series drivers pictured, if that’s what this light comes with they only run at 75% nameplate current on 120v circuit.

how is this different than HLG?

what would you recommend if not this item? I am trying to yield the most possible

For about a hundred more, you could get 2 HLG 260 v2 rspecs.

3k or 4k?

There are 3 flavors of the hlg 260 v2, the rspec, the 3k, and the 4k. I’d get the rspec model for the enhanced flowering, has the far red diodes that the 3k is missing. The 3k is good for flowering, the 4k model would be for vegging. If you plan to use the light for both veg and flower (or just flowering), go with the rspec model.

still using 12/12 light cycle?

Great lights you’ll be happy from the get go. 12/12 is only when you wanna induce flowering. Light schedule will always be the same no matter what lights you use, that’s up to you.

at current I am using 9 light/15 dark @6 weeks flower, should I adjust that?

I have 1 large clone about 3’ tall now, I want a light that will maximize my yield. what light schedule and light should I use for it?

how about the HLG 550 V2 ECO @3000k for flowering?

HLG 550 RSPEC vs 550 ECO? is one good for veg and flower or just flower?

To be honest I love this light and so far have seen great results during VEG. I can’t wait to see them flower. This light is awesome with great PAR that the plants need.

It’s good up to an 6x6 for veg and 5x5 for flower

Yes, the eco 3k would be great for flowering, the 4k for veg.
