Need help, was yellowing do to high pH?

I don’t remember the exact amounts of npk off the top of my head. As I am away from home now. But it’s really low. Like 0.13-0.2-0.15 or something there about. I’ve got it at 1/4th strength for now. The plant is doing way better though now that I have the pH in check.

I’m also looking more for the total PPM in the reservoir. Sometimes just raising the PPM with a balanced nutrient mix will reduce the pH drift.

So it’s day 21 of my dwc grow and it’s been a constant battle with rising pH. I’ve since discontinued the drip because the roots had grown out the sides. However, the growth of the overall plant is less than stellar. My plant has three sets of leaves, but is only 3" tall.

So I’ve decided that it’s still salvageable and young enough to switch it over to soil. Plus I think the soil will be less maintenance compared to my daily pH monitoring.

Hey, check out this link. Although he was actually having the opposite problem, his pH kept rising or becoming more alkali.

Part of the problem with trying to help so many people out, is often I’m chatting with numerous people that are having similar issues, and I think I kept thinking it was creeping down instead of up, partially because i was probably confusing, in my mind, the situation in your grow.

But nonetheless, I got them on the right path and pointed in the right direction.

You’ll notice I also focused on assuming the numbers given EC/PPM were PPM and too low, which can contribute to an acidity problem, not so much an akli situation like they were having. That is part of the reason I was asking you about how strong the nutrients were, in EC or TDS/PPM. You never did give me that information, just something about the NPK values, which are only accurate when mixed at the directions full strength, and then might not even be accurate, completely, when you are talking about a hydro reservoir and the nutrients are not specifically designed to used in such a fashion. Either way, the EC or PPM value would be a better indicator of what is going on in your reservoir.

With their situation we seemed to agree they did not have enough volume in the reservoir for the number or size of plants, but I think in your grow we had decided you had plenty for the size of the plant or number of plants you had, and so I’d still be wondering about the nutrient concentration in your reservoir in total dissolved solids in parts per million, or the Electrical Conductivity reading.

I didn’t get a tds meter. rookie mistake on my part. Either way, I’m going to move it into some soil to keep me from constantly having to adjust the reservoir pH. I only have one plant in a 4 gal tote. I couldn’t imagine how much worse this problem will become when my plant gets bigger. Therefore I’ll switch to something more stable. The idea of dwc is a great one, but it’s far more delicate than my simple aquaponics. I just feed the fish and my veggies take off! If it were only that easy for my MJ plant. Thanks for all your help Mac. I’m not giving up completely on hydro. I will try again with the next one. I just rather not lose this plant after caring for it the last 3 weeks. this is strictly a hobby.

You medium is to wet no ph problem , just use fertilizer or nothing else if you do this will cause more problems

Hydrogen, on your next grow check out this link and read what it has to say.
I’m using in soil and fireworks great.
Simply going to use this product line. I read it and was sold. I started with Grow, Micro. And Bloom.
Now if you do decide to order order one at a time because they send a free 6oz bottle free with every order so far I have got 4 free.
