Need help moving outdoors to indoors

Question from a fellow grower:

I’m completely
new at this, but I’m desperate to learn… I was a bit late, but have 3
pineapple haze planted in mid May I transplanted into 3 gal pots and
have them outside on my deck for now. Some bugs have started snacking on
leaves, so I want to move them in my house soon. Any help would be
appreciated with light bulb type, amount needed each day, time to
maturity for this type, an any suggestions for me.

How old is it, is it in veg or flower? Need more info my friend, and pictures would help us help you identify bug problems

Sorry friends, here’s some pics of my plants… The bugs(whatever they are) pick a leaf or leaves and either eat holes in it, or eat 1/2 of the leaves… Any help would be great! This is the reason I’m thinking of going indoors, but I don’t know the best types of bulbs for my 3 plants, or wattage, which would be adequate without spending a fortune… also are the 3 gallon pots sufficient? They are almost 3 months… Is there a natural repellent I could use?`

Could be grass hoppers, or other outside pests. As for moving them indoor if In veg about a 400 watt mh bulb (metal halide) if In flower, a 400 watt hps. (High pressure sodium). Before I assume 400 watt is what you need size of room/space should be taken into consideration.

Metal halide is blue spectrum, high pressure sodium is reddish orange spectrum.
There are still no pictures attached, so still can’t tell on bugs, (sounds like grass hoppers to me).

You can use either diatamacious earth (DE) or neem oil (azamax). If flowering 12/12 would be ideal, if in veg, 18/6 is ideal. Time for maturity, haze will take typically any where from 10-14 weeks because it’s mostly sativa dominant.

Duely noted; don’t spray plants with azamax when in flower, use diatamacious earth (DE) to rid the pests.

Happy growings my friend

Thanks for your help so far… I thought I had the pics attached, but apparently not! I have to figure out how to do that… Any clue how to attach pics, I’m feeling pretty stupid, but I don’t see an icon for it.

Do you have any information about the bugs. Have you seen them? I think that moving them inside would also move the hosts that are eating you plant. If you could check and see what type of bug…some just need to be hand killed while others need a more aggressive approach. Check out google about bugs eating cannabis. I just think that moving them from what they are used to to an artificial environment would be stressful. On the other hand, I have started inside and moved outside when ready but have never grown outside and moved inside. Certainly not with a light bulb. You need at least 400HPS. Again, my suggestion would be to identify the suck the life out of me bug and treat for that in a shady area or just before dark.

Great advice! I really don’t want to move them indoors, but haven’t had any luck spotting the nasty things…

Your not stupid, don’t beat yourself up lol, are you using phone or computer

Okay look at the bar above the message area. You will see an icon with an arrow pointing up and a line underneath the arrow. It is the icon 7th from the left. Then you would select browse and find the picture on you computer and then open and upload.

I friend of mine uses pungent plants like geraniums and marigolds to keep many leaf-eating insects at bay.

Lol, trying to use my smart phone… But it’s not very smart… My laptop
is d.o.a.

I have had the same issue outside and I literally get a chair, sit down and go over the plants. You’ll be amazed how well camouflaged and stealthy caterpillars are!! I did this a few times and after picking them off my issue stopped.

Idk why, but the 7th icon from the left is a wheel icon…like for settings, when I select it, it drops down with"hide details, blur spoilers, & build poll… There isn’t an arrow with a line under it anywhere… Lol

@jonny,

Welcome to ILGM you have just joined the fastest growing forum on the net today. The fokes here are more than willing to help you with any problem. They are also very friendly people. And you have to visit our Lounge this is where we talk about other things besides growing. Its a get to know each other thing.

OK light…

If you are needing to save some money and want to get only one light get the one 125 watt CFL (compact fluorscent light) and get it in the 6500 K spectrum, it will do fine in blooming flowering as well as vegetative growing. Yes it should do very well for that size canopy/floor space. With CFL lights you can do a real easy in your head estimation of about a minimum of 40 to 50 watts per square foot, and so actually about 125 watt. actually might be over kill, but it depends on how you are to mount the light, how much vertical space it will take up and if you can keep the temps down in such a small space. Even in a fluorescent light, 125 watts will put out quite an amount of heat.

The five 20 watt CFLs might be a better option for such a small grow but you might not save anything on heat. And in fact it may create more heat. Most of the heat with fluorescent lights comes from the ballast. In a CFL, this ballast is inside the vented plastic base. With so many lights, you have a whole lot of little ballasts that total wattage is 100 watts but the extra numbers of ballasts might create more heat than the one ballast in the 125 watt bulb. You might want to look into finding one 100 watt CFL in the 6500K for you size grow.

Here is some more information on fluorescent lights:

Are you signed into this site or just a visitor? I don’t know why you don’t have an arrow with a line under it. That is odd. Anyway, maybe it is for the best because you do not want to use your phone or any other device that pinpoints your location.
