Need advice on PH

When I water and feed my plants with water PHd at 6.4 but the run off is 5.2 what is that telling me?

It’s telling you your soil pH is too low.

Start watering with water that has been pHed to about 7.5 and with each watering you should begin to see your run off pH rise.

Once your run off pH is at your desired point, then go back to that 6.4oh that you have been watering with.

If your using a reservoir and recycling back to water again, there is nothing wrong. The plants will extract ions from the water as they “eat” the result is change in pH. I run hydroponic and use one of the real time pH/EC constant read meters in the reservoir. You will have to adjust pH for what sounds like some happy plants. The more plants or the bigger, the more they eat and extract hydrogen ions from water along with the nutes you have given them. You can google more detailed information about plants and what they are doing.

I’m using FoxFarm potting mix. Not ready for the advanced stuff yet my first grow. I’ll try just plain PHd water for a while. Your thoughts.

First your in soil not hydro and your not recycling any of your water.

Water with 7.5 till your run off pH comes up to your desired pH. @Countryboyjvd1971 showed me that little trick
