From a fellow grower: It gets ridiculously hot where I live and I grow outdoors. Would a shade cloth of some sort help to cut the heat but still let my plants get the light they need?

I’d check out some of the guys in South of Africa who are cultivating and see how they are able to accomplish this task.
I believe I seen someone using a greenhouse frame but then had cloth instead of plastic cover.
ChrisJ and all the people he links up with are doing it and he documents it all at the growersnetwork forum

You can also check the breeder’s Guide to choose strain that’s best suited for your very hot Climate. Good luck

North AZ here and my patio can get very hot. Shade cloth cut down the heat by 5-6 degrees. I’m going to 40 pct shade this season. Also good for keeping out insects.
