My Mistake but Advice Needed

I had these 2 Super Silver Haze seeds started and going decently. I watered them with 600ppm GH Maxigro. I didn’t see that the runoff created a significant pool in my collection tray and they sat in the runoff for about 9 hours (holes were covered at the bottom of the pot). The first plant is what caught my attention, half of the plant wilted and died (see picture). I corrected the error and separated the dying plant from the main garden. The second plant looked fine and now 3 days later, the same exact thing happened, half died. I assume the damage was done already and it took some time for the process to complete.
So,
Did I drown them?
Root Rot?
Or maybe I actually burned them?

Mother Earth Coco Peat
RO/DI water
pH 6.0
GH Maxigrow to 500-600ppm

Now, should I see if they recover or just start over?
Thank you for any insight!

Maybe quicker starting over if they recover it’s gonna be a while what is your growing medium

I was using Mother Earth’s Coco Peat. I’m moving away from soils and will be using Coco Coir going forward.

Unexpected this is the change I’ve made this grow and it’s going great just remember to feed from day one lol

Are you watering daily?

Midwest he’s changing to coco next time but I know y u say this soil require wet and dry cycles unlike coco who has to be fed or watered daily

Coco becomes hydrophobic and struggles to absorb water if it is left to dry out.

Yes mid west that’s what I was saying

For the Coco portion of my garden, I’m using Hempy Pots. The plants with the Coco Peat, I water when just about dry.

Water coco daily else it becomes hydrophobic as @MidwestGuy said.

That looks like the nutrients were poured on top of them??

When they were watered, yes. Those 2 are in the Coco peat soil mix.

:point_up_2: as in the burnt ones in the pics? If so the damage is irreversible and goners. Sorry to say that :love_you_gesture:

So they are burned?

You could remove the damage and if photo period plants you can veg them longer so the good growth will get larger to get some harvest yield from them. I would trim the burnt areas and keep growing :love_you_gesture:

Don’t let this happen, when you water or feed to run off you’re rinsing unused salts and minerals from the root zone and letting them sit in the pot saucer allows the medium to wick that run off back in :love_you_gesture:

What’s your opinion on just using a one gallon sprayer on the soil only no foliage feeding just ph
Water and follow chart? Can this lead me
To
Any big obvious problems I should educate myself on?

I would use a 1/2 gal watering can or 2 liter measuring cup. They are easy to move around in the tent. 1 gal would work too, they are just a tad bigger.
A sprayer would take too long imo.
I grow in coco/harvest hero using the drain to waste method. I feed twice a day,no foliage feeds. Soon as you are finished feeding them you need to empty the runoff. You need around 20% runoff of what you are putting in.

Nothing wrong with that, it might take awhile to feed or water that way. When I top fed my plants before auto pots, I had to drain my pot saucers and found my small wet vac worked great for this :love_you_gesture:

It does take me forever to water but I don’t mind
