Ok here is a trivia question. Regarding the FCC and censoring lyrics. . a 2 part question. Tell me the names of these 2 songs.
#1 This song had to be re-recorded when the FCC would not allow the word āhellā-- the lyric was āa hell of a manā.
#2 This song actually has āgiving headā in the lyrics. It got past the FCC and aired-- bec at the time it was a phrase used mostly in NY (regarding blow jobs) and the FCC did not know what it meant!
So u couldnt say āhellā but could talk about giving head! Lol

Here is some Rolling Stones trivia. When they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show, they were not allowed to sing Lets Spend the night Together. The producer said it was too risque. They forced Mick Jagger to sing ālets spend some time togetherā instead. Everytime Jagger sang that, he rolled his eyes. I think i can find that on youtube.
On the other hand, when Ed Sullivan producers told James Morrison of the Doors that he couldnt sing " girl we couldnt get much higher" ā he said ok, then sang it that way anyway!! Afterwards Ed Sullivan was visibly pissed!!! Haha
