Multiple seeds in 1 pot

A question from a fellow grower:

I was hoping you could solve this dilemma i’m having.
Currently have 2 small pots with around 3-4 seedlings (3 weeks) in each one.
They are growing good at the moment but I’m not sure if I will be able to separate them when they become old enough to transplant as they may form roots around each others.
Will I kill the seedlings trying to separate them now?
Will this cause the roots to get root-bound quicker in the pot since there are multiple plants. And if it not possible to separate them will they survive? because they are only planted about 2cm from each other. Also will the yield be less?

at 3 weeks they should be able to handle a transplant however their roots will likely already have begun to tangle 2 options first dig them up and very gently try separate them second pick strongest in each pot and cull the rest
