Moving pots around on to catch sunlight

Growing white widow AF in 7 gallon fabric pots on a south west facing balcony. Exposure to direct sun light is limited to 3pm-7:30pm. I could increase exposure by about 45 minutes if I move the pots around during the day. Question: is it okay to move the plant daily to soak up more sun or would I be better off forgoing the extra 45 minutes of direct sun light? Currently the plants look healthy and have just started flowering. Thanks!

I don’t know if the benefit would be worth it. 7gallon bags are heavy so I’d probably just leave them where they’re at.
If your feeling strong you could, it wouldn’t hurt.

Not that heavy so that’s not an issue. Curious if moving pots daily would disrupt growth? Thanks!

45 extra minutes would definitely not hurt anything. Good luck

Welcome to the neighborhood :grinning: Put plant in a wheelbarrow to trot her around. much easier.

If they are happy and flourishing keep on trucking. 45 minutes natural sun prob wont help a ton. Unless you see an issue i would keepem where they are if happy. Just me. They have learned what they get and adjusted themselves. Welcome aboard. If feel like doing the daily move that is a choice. Pics help.

I will turn my plants every other day just to keep symmetrical but I put my plants ( autos ) where they get at least 8 hours direct sun. This year has been a challenge though with weird weather here in PA.
Pics would help.

Live in a one bedroom apartment located in Virginia so limited legal growing options. GF tolerates me growing on the balcony but growing in the apartment is not an option. A bit stretchy but all in all they look healthy. Will start rotating pots every other day. Thanks for the tips!

@Biorepbill
I move mine every day for the same reason. To chase the sunlight.

Mine is in a 5 gallon fabric so not heavy.

I try to be gentle as possible.
