Mould resistant strains

Hi, i’m looking for for the most mould resistant strains that can handle high humidity, and usually a high rainfall flowering period. Any experiences you have had would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi there @Isiahdog , welcome to the forum . Where abouts in the world are you thinking of growing ? There maybe people on this forum that live near there , that can help you out . Also when you go into the seed shop of ilovegrowingmaryjuana . And you pick a strain you like the look of. And you look at it . Some where it should say what it’s characteristics are ( what it will resist, mould pests , or what it likes to grow in , temperature and humidity and don’t forget where it originally came from like , Afghan and Thia stick ) .

Hi Kan72,
I’m in Queensland, Australia. We are coming out of a severe drought at the moment, with lots of rain forecast for March , April, which is flowering time down here. It;s been a difficult early season trying to keep plants alive and now we face the tropical wet.
I have Strawberry Cough and White Widow in, and from what i have read, have reasonable mould resistant attributes. I will keep you posted as to how they fair.
I’m looking to making a purchase of auto flower plants for a Spring/ summer crop, and want to purchase some for next year as well. Would love to hear of other peoples experiences growing in tropical climates with hybridised strains.
I’ve lost a 1/3 of my crop in previous years to mould, and i would love to overcome this, even if only slightly, with the right strain.

Any regular female plant is going to (in general) out perform a feminized or autoflowering plant due to it’s increased disease resistance. They also yield very well. I would look at sativa heavy strains like Sour Diesel for outdoor mold resistance.

I agree, sativa is generally a little more spindly and airy bud structure. Last thing you want in humid environment is super dense buds.

Thanks, They’re in the ground. I’ll check out Blue Dream and Jack, was thinking of giving Durban Poison a go as well.
I find any pest damage seems to be the start point of mould appearing so i spray plants with Neem oil fortnightly to keep them at bay.

I’m in South Australia so I don’t have any problems with mould, sorry I can’t help.

Great advice, i’m partial to the Sativa strains, less couch potato than Indica.

@Isiahdog hi mate welcome  i have heard about white widow but only from the read ups on it. will like to see how you go and i always say get a foot high atleast before putting anything in ground outdoors with any gardening  outdoor humidity control, good topic,? can it be done an how,? great question, good luck

@Myfriendis410 , I forgot all about sour diesel, and I grew heaps of it last year. @Isiahdog I only use tomato dust, and it seems to do the job well, the oil would trap water , in my opinion,I could be wrong .
