More efficient sized grow tent for personal use?

Hey all! I’m looking to grow for personal use, and some to share. I’m debating whether I want to use a 24"x24"x50" grow tent to grow 2 medium plants- and probably do 2-3 grows a year; or go for a larger grow tent and do 1-2 grows per year.

I live in a small apartment in a zero tolerance state, so I’m inclined toward the smaller tent but it seems that maybe a 48"x24"x60" or 36"x20"x63" would be more efficient in terms of buying the supplies and electricity used.

I’ll probably use a hydroponic system and LED lights.

Thank you!

For 2 plants a 24’x48 and go as tall as will fix where your putting it.
The 2’x4’ tent with a https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/kits/products/260w-qb-v2-led-kit would work great.

Not to hate on hydro, but pumps running might raise suspicions, and living in an apt with possible inspections at any given time, I would suggest soil, for the stealthiest grow as possible. Don’t forget an oversized carbon filter for no smells.
AC Infinity fan is one of the quietest fans on the market, and also happens to be efficient as well.
LED lights that are passively cooled (no fans) will also help with stealth. The QB mentioned will also keep the noise level down. Hope these suggestions you find helpful. @greenergrl
I have an infinity fan and I love it. It runs all the time. Even comes with a speed controller which a lot of fans come separately.

24x24 tent is perfect for one plant. Or you can get the 24x48. Either for great in a closet.
I have a 27x27 and I love the size and versatility.

24x24x60 is only good for one plant imo I bought one for my first grow which I’m still on and when my autos went into flower I ended up having to make one of my showers into a grow area as well not nearly enough room when I pushed them out and also having a difficult time keeping my light high enough using 3gal pots!!

Agree with the others. This is one plant in a 2x2.

Thanks for all of your help! About how many grams do you think you’ll get from that one plant? What kind of light are you using?

How much would you like to get per harvest?

I started the plant on a viparspectra reflector 300w (136w). I switched to a quantum board 288v2 135w a few days after this pic was taken. This will be my first harvest so I don’t have the experience to gauge the weight. The grow I’m emulating pulled over 90 grams.

That looks fantastic! If I can pull 90 grams from that cute little thing twice a year, I’ll be a happy camper! Thanks for your help!

2x2 tent is plenty then, I think a qb 135 kit in 3000k or 3500k would be ideal.

:point_up_2: agree. I put in a 3k and have it turned down to 115w because it was too much at 16”. That’s the other good thing about the quantum board, the drivers are adjustable. At full power mine hits 143w.

I’ve got a couple 2’x4’x5’ tents and a 4’x8’x7’ tent.

It depends on what you want to yield, but I think the 2’x4’ is perfect for a stealth grow. One can easily grow 1-3 plants, and with a filter there’d be no scent.

Hi! Did you pinch or femm this plant? I’m new and curious to know your method. It looks great! Thanks Scott

It was topped once and scrogged. I only had 2’x2’x4’ space to work with so needed to keep it compact. That pic was right after I took the net off

Beautiful plant my man
