chopped cherry pie3 today. got 551 grams wet. the plant was heavy but i think part of it was that there was still some moisture in the soil unlike the last plant that i chopped after 8 days without watering. even if i lose 75% to drying i will still have just under 5 oz for this plant.
total wet weight for the grow was 2,571 grams.
so now the grow part of my third try is done.

my heaviest plant was the last one that i had the QB on for 2 weeks. i wonder if that has anything to do with why it is almost 100g heavier than the rest.

i can tell by the way that cp3 is drying out that i wish that i would have waited at least two more days before chopping. it was dry enough that i could have watered but it was too wet to chop and have a short hang time. last plant was 8 days from watering when i chopped and hung it and it took 5 days to dry before jarring. this one looks like it will take at least 8 days hanging and maybe as long as 12.
The longer it takes to dry the better flavor and scent in my experiences. I wish I could get a one week to 2 week dry before the cure. I usually have to jar at 3 days 4 tops then cure for 6 weeks at least. I had one go to 5 days I think or 6 days. It was my longest.
thanks for the insight @RAP . i just harvested a cherry pie three weeks ago and that one was only a 5 day hang. i do smell more from this plant than from that one. and when i jarred the last one it was 58% when in the jar after a day so i had to add boveda pack immediately to get it back up to 62% after 3 days in the jar.
I have had a couple drop to 50 - 55% before and I will usually put 2-3 fresh leaves in the jar for a couple days. I crush them in my hand a bit to help them release moisture and then I may be at 70% in the jar and burp till I get to 60-62% which can take a month or so then I use the bodiva packs and burp monthly.
Iām obsessed with those packs, youāve got me hooked! Swear they make a difference
before i started this project i always put my pot in zip lock bags. by the time the end of the bag came around the pot was noticeably drier. i now use only amber jars and once the pot gets to 62% humid in jar i put in a boveda. it is nice to have pot always at preferred texture.
Love my amber mason jars! Want to get some smaller ones to store extra bud. Everywhere seems to be sold out locally right now and shipping is outrageous

i have twelve 64 oz and eight 32 oz jars. one plant takes up two or three 64 oz jars. i donāt cram them in there and only fill 2/3 or 3/4 full so that i can get the pot to roll and separate and the buds donāt coagulate. i use the smaller jars for every day pot use, for give aways, and to make it easier to get around. i can only get two of the 64 oz jars in my back pack so i go to walmart and grab a couple when iām in the area with my backpack. i have gotten all my jars there but have had to go back a bunch of times to get what i need. now that iām going to 8 plants per grow iām going to have to get another 4 to 6 jars. i have yet to have any pot left over when i get done with a grow so iām basically keeping pace when i have 6 plants going. with eight i think i might be able to start building up a pantry of strains to smoke but the jury is still out on that one lol.

put cherry pie3 into jars today. got 156g dry which i think is amazing. this plant should have been less than cherry pie1 but it got 2 weeks of QB at the end. i think it put another ounce and a half on the cherry pie3. after 30 mins the humidity in jar was 65%. i expect that to be up around 68 to 70 tomorrow when i check it but i am happy to have chopped early enough that i can delay the cure for a bit before i have to add boveda packs

i ran out of afgan2 at home day before yesterday and i didnāt want to bring another jar of LSD home even if it was a different plant so i brought home a jar of cherry pie1. it is 3 weeks since chop and hopefully will get better. it is good but not as good as the LSD. it will be hard for me, but i am not going to smoke the afgan1 and 2 that i have about 2 oz of each until i have just a jar of each plant left.
