when i start a new strain i search online for growing hints on that strain. i liked what i saw about the chem dog (been a dead head since 68) but am a little concerned about the gorilla glue. the one i saw that had this quote was about gorilla glue #4

" Did you know that GG4 originally came from a hermaphrodite plant? Also known as a ‘Hermie,’ a hermaphrodite plant develops both male and female flowers. Gorilla Glue #4 is more sensitive to hermaphroditism than other strains, which means you must take special precautions. For instance, you must do your best to eliminate all forms of stress during the flowering stage."

i am pretty sure that this is not gorilla glue#4 and i don’t think you can even call it gorilla glue as it is labeled gorilla glue by ILGM. any thoughts on this?

Huh… LoL so you bought ILGM GG? I doubt they’d market somin prone to Hermie. What does it say about difficulty to grow? I’m sure you’ll knock it out of the park Monk…

for ILGM gorilla glue it says easy to grow. so i’m not too worried, the other thing was that the tips i saw were for gorilla glue #4 not gorilla glue

lol yw bud, and i’m a natural born teacher, both my folks were in the business but i would not do it until schools decided whether they were going to have a babysitting business or and educational one. is why i went into engineering, still taught electricians troubleshooting and other stuff lol.
but… i am a firm believer that when learning to grow pot it is important to get lots of different ideas even if they conflict. you have to figure out what works for you so having different ideas to choose from helps keeping you from having to re-invent the wheel. it you have questions on the why or how, feel free to ask

teachers always put their name up on the board when it is the first class. i would write KING A##HOLE in capital letters when i was teaching a class of electricians and sit in the back of the class as they came in. then i would stride to the front of the class, turn to face them, put my hands on my hips, look them in their eyes, and then say " My name is king A##hole, but now that we have been properly introduced you can just call me “a##hole” lol it always got a big laugh and i had them wrapped around my finger after that. i would stop every hour and tell a joke to break things up, technical training and learning needs time outs.

I can dig that.

I’ve found lots to pay attention to. Bruce Bugbee and Greengenes, on the scientific side, and there is a fantastic podcast called homegrown helpers that offers really diverse advice… some of it pretty philosophic. I can’t wait to see how the first grow turns out. Physical retail opens back up on Monday and I can’t wait to visit the indoor horticulture specialist I found. Fully onboard to a new hobby…

seeing as i’m hanging around this afternoon waiting for my drying to finish so i can go check on grow 3 i check the floating seeds to see if they will sink. my first check was at 2pm and all three dropped to bottom of cup so that is a real good sign. when they have been fast to drop they have typically cracked fast.
