take care of yourself Jerry. A hobby would be a good thing for you. I
have gold leaf and they are crazy producers. Compact and at least 15
colas on each of the 3 plants. They grow wide so less is more with this
strain. They do best with a ph of 6.2 or lower from my experience.
They need more cal mag than the other strains. I just purchased the
SCRoGCo Inc. system because I did not want to take on the physical
challenge of building a system. You might want to check it out. I am
following bergmans lab recommendations for scrog so I think it will
increase the colas. Excited for you and good health to you.

you grow in soil or DWC? I am pretty much stuck to soil as I do not
have the energy to set up a DWC. I have heard really good things about
Gold Leaf and am excited to get started.

grow in soil. I did my own organic soil and followed all instructions
and it was no good. I tried all sorts of organic soils and they all had
fungus gnats. It was a huge problem so I decided to go with shopping
at a hydroponics store and bought roots organic (no fungus gnats but I
still did not like the soil). I purchased Happy Frog smart naturals by
Hydrofarm for transplanting root bound plants which were in 5 gallon
pots to 7 gallon pots and they went wild. They loved the soil. Here is
what Happy Frog smart naturals:

Nutrient rich, Happy Frog® Potting Soil is highly recommended for container gardens.

Ready to use right out of the bag, and is pH adjusted to allow for
maximum nutrient uptake. This unique mix is alive with beneficial soil
microbes and mycorrhizal fungi that dramatically expand root development
enabling plants to feed more aggressively. The benefits of this premium
select potting soil are strong plant structure, vigorous vegetative
growth, with enhanced fruit and flower production. Enjoy the Fruits of
Our Labor!

So for my next grow I am using this

BlountvilleAug 1It’s a really great soil, you will love it! I do like to add about 1/4 perlite though.

durabloomAug 1I forgot to mention that. Thank you

can save a lot of oney if you buy ProMix BX. It is everything but,
soil. Add compost, add nutrients. This is perfect for the grower that
wants a soil-less mix, or want the best foundation to a custom soil
mix.

I have 4’ Gold Leaf plants growing in ProMix BX. Getting ready to flower.
