I grow outdoors in central Illinois USA i bought your super skunk 2 and gold leaf they grew great but started getting brown spots on the leaves right around the beginning of flowering almost probably about 6-7 weeks ago so it would get better then worse so I decided to harvest the worst looking plant last weekend they’ve been drying for 6 days always looking pretty good this morning I started trimming and got to the second plant and the hairs on the buds had turned like dark red and brittle parts of the bud would just fall apart it ended up doing it to the whole harvest

For clarification, after 6 days of drying, your buds are falling apart? Are they really crispy? That seems to be overdrying. Temps should be close to 60-70°, with rh between 50-60%. Ideal drying numbers are 60°/60%.

Thanks for the response but temperature and humidity are good the buds get very dark brittle hairs and when trimming they will literally fall apart. The buds are in fine shape going into the grow room not so much coming out I have had a bit of brown in the buds while growing but thought I had it all taken care of? Thanks again for response!

If you mean inside the buds. Then they’re crumbling after dried like they’re dead, sounds like could be bud rot like said above ^^ one reason I hate growing outside

Can you post a picture I agree it sounds like bud rot if it is you don’t want to smoke it

There’s a little plant I just let go because it’s covered up with the brown spots and dying leaves

When growing you have to make sure to keep plants healthy, especially outdoors where you have less control over environmental conditions.

This is most likely a nutrient or ph issue. Did you provide all necessary nutrients to plant throughout grow?

This sounds too early for most outdoor plants around us.

Consistent with being dried a little too long. The pistils all turn red or orange eventually.

Honestly I went and checked them leaves out with the brown spots and yellowing and I’m under the impression that if it rub’s off like chalk it’s mould if it doesn’t rub off it’s possibly calcium deficiency it did not rub off. I use ro water and know there’s no Beneficial properties of ro/distilled also use fox farm happy frog dirt I started flushing about a month ago and that’s about the time this started and would occasionally get better after I watered with nutrients every other watering it was a very dry summer. In short I believe it was all my fault which I figured because I’m old and out of touch but hopefully I think I may be learning,thanks to everyone for the response. I’ll try feeding them girls a bit more!

Looks like nute burn from splatter. When feeding dont let it spash, little at a time. Use a long funnel for easy reach.

Thanks for the response I’ll will definitely be more careful with that but I’m thinking it may be a nutrient deficiency I’ll find out next year hopefully thanks again
