I had a male I was goig to use to get seeds.
I got bored and stressed it (almost pulled the bastard out)
And it hermed I got about 100 seeds
So here’s the thing
I know a fem going herm has only got fem genes but a male???
Where’d it get the oomph to make seeds
It must have a fem capacity no?
The seeds will only produce males?
Only herms?
It is all male it will produce males and or exactly more of the same

So if the plant does this in nature to ensure its survival when stressed
How does it help the plant when all it’s seeds are male?
As far as my knowledge goes, a female plant can produce seeds when pollinated by a male or when she is late in flower after her peak she will produce seeds as you said to ensure “it’s” survival. Now I can’t say for sure because I’ve never tried to find out if a male can produce seeds, but I think, now I could be wrong, it would only have pollen sacs or it could turn into a hermi of stressed. Now take that with a pinch of salt. Anyone correct me if I am wrong

They in turn can hermi too a plant left too long in flower will try to seed but all those seeds have same sex as parent but increased odds of becoming hermies themselves

I have about 100 seeds from this stressed male
I have enough room so I’m going to grow some of these out just to learn something
I’ll keep them far away from my girls so they can’t polinate anything if they are male which is the most likely outcome
